Le film est sorti en France le 9 janvier 2013. Réalisé en animation image par image et en images de synthèse, ce film d'aventure s'inspire de l'histoire vraie du marin écossais Alexandre Selkirk (1676-1721) qui aurait servi d'inspiration à Daniel Defoe pour son roman Robinson Crusoé.
Synopsis
Alexandre Selkirk est un jeune marin qui navigue à bord de l’Esperanza sous les ordres du capitaine Bullock. S'étant attiré les foudres de l'équipage, il est trahi et abandonné par ses compagnons sur une île isolée au milieu de l'océan. Il apprend à y survive seul au milieu d'une nature luxuriante.Comments

The movie starts with the Rugrats going on an adventure through the safari, with Tommy impersonating Nigel Thornberry, who is his role model, and spoofing his nature show. However, the babies' broadcast is cut short when they come across a tiger and then a crocodile, both of which threaten them. Just as they begin sinking in quicksand and are nearly attacked, we then reveal that this was only imagination, and that the babies and their families are about to go on vacation on the Lipschitz cruise ship.

Enfant, Robinson etait fascine par les lourds vaisseaux qui remontaient la Tamise en passant devant la propriete familiale des Crusoe. In the year 2058, Earth will soon be uninhabitable due to irreversible effects of pollution. The United Global Space Force prepares the first launch for the colonization of a distant planet much like our own. Meanwhile, a terrorist group, the Global Sedition, wants to interrupt the colonization to be able to take over the same planet themselves. Professor John Robinson, lead scientist of the Jupiter Mission, prepares to take his wife Maureen, daughters Judy and Penny and son Will on a 10-year mission in suspended animation to the nearby planet Alpha Prime, where they will build a companion "hypergate" to the one orbiting Earth. The project is accelerated after Global Sedition terrorists attack Earth's hypergate, but are stopped by fighter pilots, one of whom is Major Don West. When the pilot for the Jupiter Mission is murdered, West is assigned as his replacement.

The film opens somewhere in the late 17th century with two pirate ships fighting. The prince, Alexander of Monterria, is captured by Robert the Terrible, his ruthless uncle. The other pirates search the ship for the princess, Eloise, but miss her hiding spot and leave. When Eloise and her butler Willory (played by Archibald Asparagus) emerge, she sends a device that her father made, a "Helpseeker," to find heroes to save Alexander. It evades the pirates on the ship and jumps into the sea.

A four-minute short film featuring characters from the Angela Anaconda series appeared before the film in the theatrical and home media releases. In this segment, Angela and her friends line up to watch Digimon: The Movie, but Nannette and her friends cut in line since they have passes. As Angela makes a mad dash to save seats for her friends, Mrs. Brinks (with help from Nannette) sits in front of her, blocking her view. Angela scornfully imagines herself Digivolving into Angelamon to defeat Mrs. Brinks and Nannette, removing all obstacles in enjoying her movie. However, everyone in the audience realizes they are in the wrong movie, so they quickly leave to go to the correct theater, leaving Mrs. Brinks and Nannette behind with the latter covered in food.

After losing her mother at a young age, Haruka has treasured the hand mirror she had received from her. As she grew older, she forgot about the mirror and eventually lost it. One day, she decides to go to a local shrine and pray to Inari for the hand mirror to be returned to her. As Haruka sits by the shrine, she drops her house key under the steps. After going to retrieve it, a small fox-like creature runs by, and takes her key, and a toy airplane that had been abandoned earlier. Haruka follows the creature into the woods, but loses it at a large fractured stone. Haruka dips her hand in the small pool of strangely warm water, and is suddenly sucked into the pool, flies out of a river, and lands in a cart with the creature.

Le samouraï Goemon Ishikawa, comparse et ami d’Edgar (Lupin en VO), s’apprête à épouser Murasaki Suminawa, une jeune fille issue d’une noble famille japonaise. Mais durant la cérémonie, des ninjas appartenant au clan Fuma surgissent au milieu de l’assemblée et tentent de s’emparer du vase ancestral qui doit sceller l’union du jeune couple. Edgar et ses amis parviennent à récupérer le vase, mais arrivent trop tard pour empêcher l’enlèvement de la jeune fiancée. Pour la retrouver saine et sauve, Goemon doit rendre le vase au clan Fuma à une heure précise le jour suivant. Malgré les conseils de son futur beau-père qui lui conseille de ne pas insister et surtout de ne pas emporter ce vase ancestral – qui selon les dires du vieil homme conduirait à un trésor caché dans les profondeurs d’une grotte – Goemon parvient avec l’aide d’Edgar et de Jigen à emporter le vase et se rendre au lieu de rendez-vous. Malheureusement, la tentative de subterfuge des trois compères pour récupérer à la fois le vase et Murasaki tombe court : les Fuma s’emparent de l'objet et disparaissent au loin, laissant néanmoins la jeune fiancée derrière eux.
