Kallu (English: Eyes) is a 1988 Telugu neo realistic film based on the live's of blind people, written by Gollapudi Maruti Rao and directed by M. V. Raghu. The film won the state Nandi Award for Best Feature Film (bronze), Nandi Award for Best First Film of a Director, and Filmfare Award for Best Director – Telugu. The film was showcased at the Indian panorama section of the International Film Festival of India. The film has garnered thirty awards and has garnered special mention from the CBFC Jury.

They claim that they are the true Thugluq and Batuta buried several centuries ago along with a herb that has protected them and kept them alive until 1968 A.D. (the present year of the film)

Ajay (Nagarjuna Akkineni) is an adman (director and actor) who has a definite idea about how his future wife should be. He gets married to a village belle Kamakshi (Simran Bagga), handpicked by his mom from her native town Kovvuru. After marriage, Kamakshi meets with a hairline fracture. The entire family of Kamakshi lands up at Ajay's house to take care of Kamakshi. She has a beautiful and greedy sister called Lahari (Reema Sen). During that period Suma (Suman Ranganathan), the regular model of Ajay meets with a fracture and Lahari replaces her as the model opposite Ajay. During that moment, Lahari gets lured by the modeling profession and then falls in love with Ajay. But Ajay does not have any feelings for her. Kamakshi gets well and her family returns to their village. Lahari tells Kamakshi about her desire to marry Ajay. Kamakshi gets mad and returns home to her husband. Meanwhile, Lahari attempts suicide. Kamakshi, being very close to Lahari, promises Lahari that she will get her married to Ajay. The rest of the film is about how Ajay manages to save his marriage without hurting Lahari and how he gets back Kamakshi.

The movie starts with Sravani (Tanu Roy) and Subramanyam (Ravi Teja), strangers to each other, meeting at suicide point of Vizag seashore. They realize that their goal is the same. Suicide, that is! They describe to each other their reasons to end their lives and duly write suicide notes. Sravani's reason is her nagging relatives who are also guardians of her. They are after Sravani's ancestral money. A friend who took a lump some of money by offering to get a job in Dubai cheated Subramanyam. Sravani and Subramanyam fulfil their last wishes with the help of each other. They consume ample amount of sleeping pills in a bid to end their lives in the room of Subramanyam. The house owner rescues them. Subramanyam lands up with a plum job later as the relatives of Sravani take her back to the home. Subramanyam's marriage gets fixed with a girl of his mother's choice and Sravani's marriage with her maternal uncle. Sravani and Subramanyam flee from their respective marriage halls independently. The rest of the film is about how the lovers unite. In this film, Samrin acts as the boss's daughter loving Ravi Teja. She is the glamor doll of the film and turned out to be a big relief for this otherwise serious love subject. She added another angle to the love to make this film triangular. Music for this film was by Chakri. K. Dutt worked as the cinematographer for this film.
