Upon release in the United States, nearly all of the cast members and production team had their names changed for the English audience. In France the film is known as Le Dollar troué. Gemma was billed as Montgomery Wood as with many of his others. The title song had a successful cover version by Nini Rosso.
The original title music, composed by Gianni Ferrio, was used in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds soundtrack. Some of Ferrio's remaining themes are also featured in the videogame Red Dead Revolver.
Synopsis
Giuliano Gemma plays a Confederate soldier who returns from the war to fight one at home. Prior to his release from the Prisoner of War camp his pistol has its barrel sawn off.Actors

Set in Mexico under the rule of Emperor Maximilian I, Sabata is hired by the guerrilla leader Señor Ocaño to steal a wagonload of gold from the Austrian army. However, when Sabata and his partners Escudo and Ballantine obtain the wagon, they find it is not full of gold but of sand, and that the gold was taken by Austrian Colonel Skimmel. In Mid-17th century France: young Louis XIV is struggling for his throne, beggars and thieves haunt Paris and brigands roam the countryside. At 17, on returning from her education in a convent, she finds herself betrothed to the rich count Jeoffrey de Peyrac (Jeoffrey Comte de Peyrac de Morens, Lord of Toulouse), 12 years her senior, lame, scarred and reputed to be a wizard. For the sake of her family, Angélique reluctantly agrees to the match but refuses the advances of her husband. Peyrac respects her decision and does not pursue his claim to conjugal rights, wishing rather to seduce than use force.

The film related the story of Southerner Major Sanders (Jacques Sernas), who continues fighting the North after the conclusion of the American Civil War. Former Rebel Gary Diamond (Giuliano Gemma), now a guide, leads a pair of Union soldiers to obstruct Sanders before he can pull off a raid on Fort Yuma. However the others are unaware that Diamond knows that one of the Union officers is actually Sanders' spy. More complications ensue, pairing Diamond with the aptly named saloon-girl Connie Breastful (Sophie Daumier). Later Diamond is found to be a traitor and is tortured severely before Sanders' plot is foiled.

Peu après la chute de Troie, Ménélas ramène Hélène. Faisant naufrage durant une violente tempête, elle est sauvée par Arion. Elle demande alors asile au roi Ramsès de Thèbes. During the Dunkirk evacuation in 1940, a team of German saboteurs assume the identities of dead British soldiers and are transported to England. Their first objective is to cripple British air defences by destroying radar stations. Though the identities and whereabouts of the saboteurs are unknown, a team of British soldiers is set up to track them down and abort their mission.
