Plus 2 is a 2010 Malayalam film from the debutant director Shebi Chavakkad. Starring Roshan Basheer, Shafna, Vishnu Mohan, Justine John, Deepak Murali and Sajin, the film tells a simple tale of youngsters doing their pre-university course. It released on 13 August 2010 across theaters in Kerala, to mainly positive reviews.

Shafna who hogged limelight with the recent super hit Katha Parayumpol and its Tamil version Kuselan is moving up from a child actress to the status of a heroine, playing Meenakshi in this movie. Among the five fresh faces Roshan is the son of the actor Kalanthan Basheer while Vishnu Mohan is the son of producer Seven Arts Mohan.

Synopsis

The story of Plus Two revolves around five teenagers—Prince, Aravind, Achu, Mathews and Ranjit—played by newcomers. Prince (Roshan Basheer) is a 12th grade student who stays alone in a villa as his parents are abroad. A girl Meenakshi (Shafna) with the purpose of looking around for her sister Parvathy, arrives at the wrong address (Prince's house). The death of her mother causes him to sympathize on her and he decides to help her. As time passes, secrets are revealed, and changing situations force them to be more mature than their age demands.

The film opens with the birth of Thoma (Dileep). Thoma's mother dies while giving birth to him, and he also suffers from a cleft lip and vocal cord deformity. The story revolves around Joseph Alex I.A.S (Mammootty) and Bharathchandran IPS (Suresh Gopi). A Pakistan military group under Maj. Abu Jalal Rana trespasses Indian waters, targeting New Delhi. The plan, however, is intercepted by Dr. Emma John of Intelligence Wing as she informs it to her senior Padmabhushan Dr. Sudarshan (Nedumudi Venu). Before they can tell the home minister, however, they are killed by two cops, who is joined by a senior police officer, Shankar Ramdas (Devan). Unbeknownst to them, Imran, a photo journalist manages to take pictures of the scene onto his camera. However, Swami was able to suffocate him before pushing him into the Yamuna river. The next day, the bodies of Kishore, Dr. Sudarshan, and Dr. Emma are all found in the river. Since both the bodies of the doctors are seen in an intimate position, the police concludes that Kishore killed the two out of jealousy, and then killed himself right after by drowning himself into the river.
