Sajan Joseph Alukka (Kunchako Boban) is a soft-spoken and studious young man, while his junior Priyamvada (Meera Jasmine) is smart and outgoing. Her close friend is in love with Sajan, but he avoids her by saying that his only ambition in life is to study hard and become an IAS. But Priya follows him and digs out the truth that though he hails from a rich family, his father has now gone bankrupt and has no money even to pay the exam fee. On hearing this, her friend ditches him. Slowly Priya starts having a soft corner for him. She even pays his fees, but Sajan tries to avoid her and treats this as an insult.

One day, in his rush to grab hold of a falling kite, Ramesh(Adharvaa) bumps into Priya (Samantha), a fashion technology student. In the process, her pendrive falls into his pocket, without either of them realising. The pendrive consists of six months' worth of Priya's project work, and she needed to submit it. Asking the principal for an extension, Priya searches for Ramesh, and finally manages to find him. She thoroughly humiliates him, while he denies the pendrive is with him. After college one day, Ramesh and his friends see Priya on the road. They tease her and infuriate her, eventually leading to her slapping him.

The movie starts off with a robbery of 20 crores in Pondicherry IDID Bank where a college girl is killed by one of the thieves. The same night as the robbery, the manager of the bank (Manivannan) commits suicide.After this the story opens up in Chennai where Shiva Sundaram (Prasanna) a visible foolish person comes in search of David Raj(Manoj K. Jayan) where he saves a girl from being raped by one of David Raj's men.Then he confronts David and says that he came to get the stuff a.k.a. heroin from him saying that Moorthy told him to get it for Rs.10000/= and wants to sell it to Rs.20000/=.But David Raj understanding that he is a fool sends in 1 crore worth heroin without the knowledge of Shiva saying that there will be a call to the phone he gives and tells him to deliver it to the address the caller says and to be caught by the police with the buyer.But Shiva goes the wrong way and goes to see his friend Vellai (Karunas) where Vellai has taken money from a lender for interest to give to Shiva.At his place they open up the package and they both think it is toothpaste powder.Where Shiva says that he must get a call.Then with the money lending party they go to said place and the two people of the money lending party goes to the buyer and get the money but they are caught by the police.Then next day Shiva calls the T.V station where Priya works where he reveals that he is the brother of Ram Mohan (Abbas) and that Moorthy must call him else he would die jumping from the top of a building.Then the police arrive at the building to find that Moorthy has called him.From there knowing that Priya is a friend of Mohan he gets into her house saying that he is Ram Mohan's brother.But after certain events Ram Mohan returns to India and finds his brother burning in a flat.After this Sundhara Moorthy surfaces and spills the beans about Ram Mohan to the family of Priya that her father the manager of IDID Bank was murdered by Ram Mohan and his brother because he found out that his bank was robbed by the two brothers and the college girl who was killed in that incident is his sister.From here onwards a fight happens between Sundara Moorthy and Ram Mohan where Sundara Moorthy wins.

Masi (Nakul) is an orphan living in a lower middle class colony. Prabhu (Dhanush) is a happy-go-lucky middle-class family guy who spends time playing carrom in the streets with his friends Santhanam, Karunas. His father (Murali) and he keep falling into minor misunderstandings, and he indulges in a hopeless romance with a strange girl (Divya Spandana) who he meets at a bus stop. When he is caught in the act of stealing a pittance from his father for booze with his friends, Prabhu questions his father’s responsibility towards his upbringing. This movie is similar to Romeo and Juliet, a tragic love story about two star-crossed lovers. The movie focuses on the love that blossoms between an Indian student (Vikranth) and a Pakistani girl. The movie is essentially about how they must both fight against forces which oppose them. The movie outlines some of the most complex themes and problems that occur between the two state. The story alternates between Vikranth's parents searching for him, while the flashback of the incidence are portrayed along the way. Eventually, near the end, the Pakistani girl suicides thinking her lover is going to die. However, Vikranth turns up to find her dead. This causes him to break down, eventually psychologically affecting him. As time goes on, Vikranth physical appearance changed to the point where no one recognizes him. The movie ends on a sad note, where his own mother fails to recognize her own son.
