Biography
Fraser Clarke Heston est le fils de Charlton Heston et de Lydia Clarke. Alors qu'il est bébé, il apparaît dans le film Les Dix Commandements (1956) dans le rôle de Moïse enfant. Il a commencé sa carrière en tant que scénariste des films La Fureur sauvage (1980) et La Fièvre de l'or (1982), ce dernier réalisé par son père. Il a également dirigé son père dans les téléfilms L'Île au trésor (1990), sa première réalisation, et Sherlock Holmes et la croix de sang (1991). Il a ensuite réalisé deux longs métrages pour le cinéma, Le Bazaar de l'épouvante (1993) et Alaska (1996).Il s'est marié avec Marilyn Heston en 1980 et a un fils, Jack, né en 1991.

A mysterious proprietor named Leland Gaunt (von Sydow), claiming to be from Akron, Ohio, opens a new antiques store called "Needful Things" in the small town of Castle Rock, Maine. The store sells various items of great personal worth to the residents (some of which, like a pendant that eases pain or a toy which predicts the outcome of horse races, are clearly supernatural). Gaunt demands payment both in cash and in small "favors", usually pranks played by his customers on their neighbors. Gaunt's first customer is a kid named Brian Rusk (Meier) who buys off a rare baseball card in exchange for a prank.

When her husband George disappears after a flight up to northern BC's interior wilderness to search for gold, Andrea Spalding (Basinger) contacts Jean Dupre (Mancuso) for help, who is serendipitously available for hire after intimidating a surly Mollyco corporate superior/passenger with aerobatics in a company Cessna 206, then landing, exiting and walking away from the aircraft as it continues to taxi onto an active runway with said superior still aboard and into the path of a landing Cessna 185. Together, Dupre and Spalding embark on their search in a neglected de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver, along the way encountering a mechanical breakdown and gypsy fisherman Elijah (John Marley), who earnestly urges them to stay away from "Headwater".
