The film starts in Paris, where King Kong (Sam Hui) is kidnapped by a British secret agent (Jean Marchent) whose mission is to retrieve one of the Crown Jewels which has been stolen and is located in a Hong Kong Police Headquarters vault.
Aces Go Places 3 was the highest grossing film in Hong Kong on its release in 1984 and was the highest grossing film in the series. The film was released in an English-language dub titled Mad Mission 3 which features 20 minutes cut from the original film.
Synopsis
En vacances à Paris, Sam est engagé par un individu qui prétend être James Bond. Ce dernier lui demande de l'aider à restituer à la Reine d'Angleterre les pierres précieuses de sa couronne qui ont été dérobées à Hong Kong. Sur place, l'agent Tom Collins découvre que le soi-disant James Bond est en réalité à la tête d'une organisation internationale d'escrocs professionnels. A Drax Industries Moonraker space shuttle on loan to the United Kingdom is hijacked in mid-air and MI6 operative, James Bond, agent 007, is assigned to investigate. En route to England in a small charter plane, Bond is attacked by the crew and pushed out of the plane by the mercenary assassin Jaws. He survives by stealing a parachute from the pilot, whilst Jaws lands on a circus tent.

British and Soviet ballistic-missile submarines mysteriously disappear. James Bond—MI6 agent 007—is summoned to investigate. They travel across Egypt together, tracking the microfilm plans, meeting Jaws—a tall assassin with steel teeth—along the way. The story concerns an experimental nuclear cruise missile which is stolen from a Soviet military site in the USSR. An international terrorist group, under the command of a European power-crazed man known only as the Baron is responsible. The Baron plots to use the stolen Soviet missile to destroy an international peace conference in one week located on an island in the Persian Gulf. When the U.S. counsul to Iran is murdered by the Baron's henchmen, Alec Franklin, an US intelligence agent, is ordered to travel to Iran to take over as counsul as well as investigate the murder. Upon arrival in Tehran, Alec is followed by two of the Baron's henchmen whom attempt to kill him, but Alec manages to escape.

Chief Inspector Robin (Teddy Robin) receives information about the release of a felon who is rumored to be interested in murdering someone. At first, he is unable to determine the identity of both the felon and the supposed victim. However, after some research, he concludes the felon is triad boss Ah Capone (Karl Maka) and the victim is private investigator Yoho (George Lam). In order to protect Yoho, Inspector Robin arrests him on a trivial charge and locks him up at the police station.

At the Bureau of National Security headquarters, BNS Special Agent Alex Scott is accosted by his rival, Carlos, before being briefed on his next mission. Scott is assigned to recover a stolen fighter plane sold to arms dealer Arnold Gundars. The plane is known as the "Switchblade" and is invisible to both radar and the naked eye. The BNS learns that Gundars is sponsoring Middleweight world boxing champion Kelly Robinson's next match, and is using the event to auction off the plane. The agency has contacted Robinson and assigned him to be the civilian cover for Scott's mission. Scott and Robinson travel to Budapest, where Scott plans to penetrate Gundars' compound during a pre-fight party.
