Flesheater, sometimes written as FleshEater or Flesh Eater, is a low budget 1988 independent horror film, specifically a zombie film, by Bill Hinzman. Hinzman, who wrote, produced, edited, directed and starred in the film, is best known for playing the cemetery ghoul in George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead (1968).
Synopsis
The film starts with a group of kids taking a hayride in the country on Halloween. They pay the local farmer to take them to a secluded area of the forest. The kids arrive and begin drinking, telling the farmer to come back after dark to pick them up. As the party wears on the group separates to find their own little love nests.Actors

Following the execution of a convicted child rapist and murderer, drivers Dan and Mike are in the process of delivering the corpse to the county cemetery for anonymous burial. After brief words by Reverend Hicks, Dan and Mike notice that the corpse appears to be twitching and possibly even moving. They are suddenly attacked by the reanimated corpse, prompting them to flee to Beekman's Diner. Meanwhile, Barbra (Judith O'Dea) and Johnny (Russell Streiner) drive to rural Pennsylvania for an annual visit to their father's grave, at their mother's request. Noticing Barbra's discomfort, Johnny teases, "They're coming to get you, Barbra", before she is attacked by a strange man (Bill Hinzman), the same reanimated corpse that Dan and Mike were in the process of burying. Johnny tries to rescue his sister, but falls and bashes his head on a gravestone, killing himself. Barbra flees by car but almost instantly crashes into a tree. With the man in pursuit, she flees and eventually arrives at a seemingly abandoned farmhouse where, to her horror, she discovers a woman's mangled corpse. Running out of the house, she is confronted by strange menacing figures like the man in the graveyard. Ben (Duane Jones) arrives in a truck and takes her back inside the house. Barbra slowly descends into shock as Ben drives the monsters from the house and begins boarding up the doors and windows.

Joan Mitchell (Jan White) is the 39-year-old wife of a businessman, Jack Mitchell (Bill Thunhurst). They live in suburban Pittsburgh with their 19-year-old daughter Nikki (Joedda McClain), a student. Years after a zombie apocalypse, survivors have set up outposts across the United States, one of which, in the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, contains a feudal-like government. Bordered on two sides by rivers and on the third by an electric fence, the city has become a sanctuary, with the rich and powerful living in a luxury high-rise called Fiddler's Green while the rest of the population subsists in squalor. The city's ruler Paul Kaufman (Dennis Hopper) has sponsored Dead Reckoning, a heavily armored vehicle that can travel through the zombie-infested areas with ease. Armed with remote-controlled heavy machine guns and video cameras, Dead Reckoning functions as a moving fireworks launch base, on the premise that zombies are fascinated by fireworks and will stare at them, ignoring their environment. Riley Denbo (Simon Baker), designer and commander of Dead Reckoning, has recently retired. Unlike Kaufman, Riley is respected for his work in protecting the city from danger, as well as for bringing critical food and medical supplies which the citizens can no longer acquire safely themselves.

Shaun (Simon Pegg) is a 29-year-old electronics shop salesman with no direction in life. His younger colleagues show him no respect, he has a strained relationship with his stepfather, Phillip (Bill Nighy), and a tense one with his housemate Pete (Peter Serafinowicz) because of Ed (Nick Frost), Shaun's other housemate and vulgar, unemployed best friend. While celebrating at home, an enraged Pete — suffering from a bite wound caused by "some crackheads" — confronts Shaun on his flaws, telling him to sort his life out.

After finishing a long shift, nurse Ana returns to her suburban neighborhood and her husband, Luis. Caught up in a scheduled date night, they miss an emergency news bulletin. A schoolgirl named Kika and her father are living in a condemned set of houses where they are ultimately found by her mother, Rikka, and her uncle, Yasushi, both serial killers who murder and cannibalize their victims. Once the father is burned to death, Kika attempts to escape, but is caught by the homicidal siblings. Seconds later, a meteorite seen falling from space crashes into Rikka's back, leaving a large-sized hole in her body where her heart once was, forcing her to rip out Kika's as a replacement. After the two are then left in a cocoon-like state, a large blast of black toxic ash makes it way from Rikka and begins to cover the northern half of Japan. Thirty-six hours later, the ash had dissipated, but those who have inhaled it have been turned into bloodthirsty zombies. Days later, the country is then divided into two by a large wall, keeping the zombies north while most of Japan's uninfected population remain south.
