Synopsis
A jealous husband hires a movie-obsessed detective to kidnap his wife's lover and bring him to a derelict factory to administer some 'rough justice.' Once there, the husband discovers the detective has a revelation of his own. He has kidnapped the husband's wife as well.Actors

Tom, a married man with kids, is struggling at work when a client tries to seduce him with promises of a ‘more exciting life’. Jackie Morrison (Kate Dickie) works in Glasgow as a CCTV operator, monitoring the Red Road Flats. She has little to no personal life and engages in occasional sex with married colleague Avery (Paul Higgins). While watching a man and woman have sex in a laneway, Jackie recognises the man and begins inquiring about him. It is revealed that he is Clyde Henderson (Tony Curran), a prisoner who was released on good behaviour. She begins stalking Clyde, "accidentally" meeting him at different places. She learns he is sharing an apartment with fellow ex-con Stevie (Martin Compston) and works as a locksmith. She meets him at a cafe and learns he is throwing a party at the apartment. She breaks into his apartment, claiming to have been invited to the party. She begins exchanging looks with a drunk Clyde and they dance. Eventually, over time, she attends his parties and plans to frame him for raping her to have him sent back to prison. They have sex and she steals the condom, storming out. She returns to her apartment and stages rape on herself. She visits the police and they identify Clyde as the rapist and arrest him. A few days later, she returns to visit Clyde, but is met by Stevie. He demands to know why she is following Clyde and she reveals that he got high on crack cocaine and drove into a bus stop, instantly killing her husband and daughter. She intends to have him back to jail. Upon learning Clyde has a daughter, she calls the police and has them pull the charges. Clyde confronts Jackie about her scheme and they argue. He apologises for killing her family and asks for forgiveness. They make amends and go their separate ways.

Victor and Danny met in prison and hatched a plan to kidnap and demand ransom for the only child of a rich family. The film opens with scenes in which they make meticulous preparations to carry out the kidnap. They take their victim, Alice, her head hooded, to a soundproofed room. They cut off her clothing and tie her to a bed with a ball-gag buckled into her mouth. They force her to look at a camera as she is photographed naked. They then dress her in a tracksuit, put a hood on her head and leave her. They bag up both her and their clothes for disposal and Vic sends the pictures to her father as first step towards making the ransom demand. In continuing graphic scenes, they explain to Alice that she needs to sign when she needs the toilet and strip her lower half in order that she use a bed pan whilst still tied up. Neither shows any emotion during her humiliation but Vic, who is dominant, questions Danny's resolve now that the formerly 'hypothetical girl' has become real.

Angie (Kierston Wareing), a young woman frustrated after being fired from her thirtieth dead-end job, decides to set up a recruitment agency of her own, running it from her kitchen with her friend and flatmate Rose (Juliet Ellis). Angie is able to build a successful business, while also dealing with a neglected son who gets in trouble at school and parents who disapprove of her venture. She also has to keep reassuring Rose that they will become legitimate once the business is on a firm financial footing - they do not have a licence, but Angie at least insists on only hiring workers with papers, not illegal immigrants.

Richie Donovan (Stephen Dorff) works as a professional thief for Groznyi (Sean Pertwee), a wealthy businessman, to pay off his debt for being smuggled into the U.S. as a child. He pulls off an initially successful diamond heist, but it is botched when he is involved in two separate car accidents. He is given one last chance to pay off his debt by going to Russia to steal a priceless antique cross, locked in a safe in a Moscow penthouse apartment. The movie follows Angel, a young girl that is forced to work in a house that specializes in supplying kidnapped women forced into the sex trade to various military personnel. Initially planned to be put to work as an unwilling sex slave, Angel, a deaf mute with an "unattractive" birth mark on her face, instead becomes the assistant to Viktor, who runs the brothel. During the day she is given the duty of putting makeup on the kidnapped women and drugging them. When the men are finished with the women, Angel has the duty of cleaning them up after being violently raped by various men.

In Romania, theology student Allison has come into possession of The Lexicon, a mysterious book of prophecies that writes itself. This book contains a 23rd chapter of the book of Revelations, which is still not complete. The last chapter depicts the end of the war of angels and the name of the Antichrist. One of the angels who fell with Satan, Belial (now a demon), wants this book. Simon, a good angel, opposes him and guides Allison by taking advantage of her mental illness to speak directly to her. While searching for Allison and the book, and to avoid detection, Belial murders people and takes their form.

The plot begins with a couple camping in the Scottish Highlands. The woman gives the man a silver letter opener as a present; shortly afterwards they are killed in their tent by an unseen assailant. Meanwhile, Private Cooper is seen running through a forest in North Wales. He attacks his pursuers, but is overwhelmed and wrestled to the ground. It turns out Cooper was trying to join a special forces unit, but fails when he refuses to shoot a dog in cold blood. He is returned to his unit by Captain Richard Ryan.
