Synopsis
Obsédé par sa carrière professionnelle, Elliot Hopper est très peu présent à la maison pour s'occuper de ses trois enfants au point même qu'Amanda, sa petite dernière, ne connaît sa voix que par le répondeur téléphonique. Chaque fois qu'ils expriment des désirs ou des besoins, Elliot remet au lendemain. Tout bascule lorsqu'Elliot meurt dans accident de taxi conduit par un chauffeur imprudent. Pensant s'en être sorti indemne, Elliot finit par se rendre compte qu'il est devenu un fantôme. Le ciel lui a accordé un délai de trois jours pour régler ses affaires et s'occuper de sa famille. Il revient donc auprès de Diane, Danny et Amanda. Ils sont les seuls à percevoir leur défunt père.Actors

Elliot Hopper (Bill Cosby) is a workaholic widower who is about to land the deal of a lifetime at work, which he hopes will win him a promotion and a company car. After he forgets his daughter Diane's birthday, he attempts to make it up to her by promising her she can have his car when he secures the deal at work on the coming Thursday. After being persuaded to give the car to his daughter early, Elliot must hail a taxi from work, which is driven by Satanist Curtis Burch (Raynor Scheine), who drives erratically and speeds out of control. Attempting to get the taxi stopped, Elliot announces that he is Satan and commands him to stop the taxi. Shocked to see his "Evil Master", Burch drives off a bridge and into the river.

Dave Anderson et Manny Durrell sont deux voleurs sournoises de grande classe qui n'a jamais été pris. Joshua Burke est un détective à la retraite qui a suffisamment de preuves sur la deux d'entre eux pour les mettre derrière les barreaux. Au lieu de cela, il propose de maintenir son silence si les escrocs vont aller tout droit et ne travailler à un centre de jeunesse pour les délinquants. Dans un premier temps, les escrocs sont réticents et ne voulant pas (et sont donc les enfants). Comme le temps passe, ils gagnent la confiance et l'admiration des enfants et ils commencent à apprécier le travail. In the seventeenth century, Sir Simon de Canterville (Charles Laughton) is forced by the Code of Chivalry to engage in a duel on behalf of his brother, but flees to the family castle when his opponent is substituted for by a giant (played by an uncredited Tor Johnson). His proud father, Lord Canterville (Reginald Owen), refuses to acknowledge that his son has disgraced the family name, even when shown in front of witnesses where Simon is cowering. Detective Lucas McCarthy (Lance Henriksen) finally catches the serial killer named "Meat Cleaver Max" (Brion James) who killed over 100 people and watches his execution. McCarthy and the others watching the execution are shocked to see the electric chair send enough voltage through him to physically burn Max's body before finally dying. Max, however, has made a deal with the devil in order to return from the grave and frame Lucas for a series of grisly murders.
