Perfect Match is a 1989 Hong Kong romantic comedy film directed by Dennis Chan and starring Andy Lau, George Lam and Carol Cheng.

Synopsis

In the boardrooms and hallways of the fiercely competitive "Lok's Toy Company", where employees vie for the top management position while trading verbal barbs and romantic overtures. According to the passed director of the Lok's Toy Company, his properties were divided to his niece Lok Ka Kei and nephew Lok Ka Sing. However, Sing's share will be temporarily held by Kei until she marries. Sing then sends his followers to date Kei and hopes she will soon get married. However, all of them fail because Kei falls in love with the company's chief designer Peter Lai. Finally, after solving certain misunderstandings, Sing realizes his fault and decides to run the business on his own.

Chow Si-pak (Shing Fui-On), Dried Pork (Wong Jing), Lo Ka-ying (Lawrence Cheng and Yo (Sam Christopher Chan) are cousins who are unemployed. Later, they get jobs at Ken Lau's (Stanley Fung) car garage. Lau's rival, Bluffer Wong (James Wong), has a competing business that employs young girls as the mechanics. The girls are spectacularly attractive, and include Wong's sister in-law, Man, (Sharla Cheung) and his three daughters Ching (Chingmy Yau), Man-man (Vivian Chow and Tak (Wanda Yung), meaning the boys are primed to chase them all over Hong Kong. But they lack the skills to woo the ladies, so they call the Love Doctor, Ken's nephew Lau Pei (Andy Lau), who teaches them the unbeatable "13 Ways to Seduce a Woman".

On the other hand, Lau lost up to HK$4 million. Afterwards, Mandy, Lau and Chan met Chung, who brought a number of his subordinates with him, at a bar. There, Lau felt he was cheated and a big fight occurred where Chung was injured. Lau found out that the three of them cheated him and he blackmails Mandy to help him go to prison and interrogate his former subordinate, Robinson Shun (Kwan Hoi-san), who stole a total of HK$300 million treasury bond from him. If Mandy manages to have Robinson tell him the whereabouts of the bond, Lau promises to pay Mandy HK$10 million as a reward. To get Mandy to prison, Lily sues him for sexual harassment. However, due to lack of evidence, the judge does not adopt the case. Mandy later gets himself to prison by throwing his shoe at the judge and he was sentenced to prison for a month for contempt of court and assaulting the judge.

Wah Dee (Andy Lau) is low level punk living in Mongkok with his mother Fei (Deanie Ip) and works as a motorcycle messenger and sells pirated VCDs. Wah was recently dumped by his girlfriend. Ice's father Po Ting Kwok (Yu Rongguang) calls the police when his daughter goes missing and suspects Wah after sending people to investigate. Unexpectedly, Ice was abducted by kidnappers and Wah bravely rescues her by himself and donates half of his liver for Ice to heal. Ice returned to Shanghai after rehabilitation and finds herself in love with Wah. On the day of her birthday, her father organises a party for her and introduce a "Prince Charming" to her. The "Prince Charming" turns out to be Wah, who is dressed handsomely in a formal outfit, as opposed to his usual casual clothing and messy hairstyle.
