White and Kevin Downes as FBI agents caught up in the world of the Rapture. Written and directed by Wes Llewelyn, the film was a popular success, becoming a bestseller among Christian film audiences warranting a sequel, The Moment After 2: The Awakening, seven years later. It was a Crown Award Winner for Best Evangelistic Film and Best Drama film made for less than $250,000.
Synopsis
Adam Riley et Charles Baker sont des agents du FBI travaillant ensemble sur le terrain. Au siège du FBI, les agents reçoivent des explications, une nouvelle affectation et un dossier contenant des noms de personnes disparues sans explication. Leur mission consiste donc à interroger les proches, dont M. Fulton, Peggy une infirmière et Katherine, la femme de George. En effet, les deux enfants de George, Troy et Tanya, font partie des disparus. Au moment, où les deux agents partent en mission, Charles est appelé par l'hôpital où sa femme a fait une fausse couche.Actors

After escaping death, former FBI agent Adam Riley (David A.R. White) reunites with his friend and Christian mentor Jacob Krause (Brad Heller). They know not of the forces who are trying to destroy them. Global Alliance leader Colonel Fredericks (Monte Perlin) has forced Adam's former partner Charles Baker (Kevin Downes) to hunt them down while a ragtag militia, led by "Captain" Jackson (Lonnie Colon), spy on them for their own gain. The film starts with the two detectives, Larry and David, in search of a missing singer in an abandoned trailer park. Jux Jonas (Mike Norris) is a man whose faith in God hangs by a thread. Après la sortie de prison du révérend David Hill (comme on le voit dans le film précédent), une controverse est suscitée contre l'église St. James de Dave, située sur le campus universitaire. Cela amène le collège à entamer le processus de fermeture de l'église, à la grande consternation de Dave et de sa partenaire Jude. Lorsqu'ils ont été informés de la décision de fermer l'église et de la remplacer par un bâtiment permettant d'agrandir l'école, Dave et Jude ont entamé le processus de poursuite du collège pour sauver St. James. La professeure d'histoire AP, Grace Wesley, une fervente chrétienne évangélique, remarque que l'une de ses étudiantes, Brooke Thawley, est retirée à la suite du décès accidentel de son frère. Alors que Grace donne des conférences sur Mahatma Gandhi et Martin Luther King, Jr., Brooke demande si leurs enseignements pacifiques ont un rapport avec le récit biblique du sermon sur la montagne. Grace répond par l'affirmative et relie des parties des Écritures à ses enseignements. Un élève envoie immédiatement un message à ses parents au sujet de la classe et la réaction qui en résulte attise la colère de la directrice Kinney. Elle réprimande Grace en disant que la foi de l'enseignante obscurcissait son jugement. Grace est ensuite traduite devant la commission scolaire, qui l'informe qu'une action en justice sera intentée contre elle car elle a violé la séparation de l'église et de l'État. Le cas de Grace attire l'attention de Tom Endler, un jeune avocat de la défense catholique qui est prêt à l'aider alors qu'il est lui-même un incroyant.

Nathan Hayes (Ken Bevel) is at a gas station in Albany, Georgia, trying to clean his windshield when his truck is stolen. Hayes runs after the truck, clinging to the side and fighting the thief through the open window. Hayes is then thrown from the truck and it crashes into a tree. The perpetrator escapes, and Hayes is shown in pain and struggling to get to his truck. Bystanders tell him not to worry about the vehicle but he is not concerned about the vehicle at all and opens the back door to reveal his infant son, crying in his car seat, apparently unharmed.
