Andrzej Sekuła (born 1954 in Wrocław, Poland) is a Polish cinematographer and film director. He left his native Poland in 1980 and currently lives in Los Angeles. His cinematography work has appeared in such prominent films as Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction.
In Armored, Sekula's work helped convey the bleakness at the core of the film, critic A. O. Scott wrote in The New York Times.

Paul Maguire (Nicolas Cage) and his buddies Kane (Max Ryan) and Danny (Michael McGrady) live a life of crime. One night, they ambush a Russian mobster, intercepting him when he’s on his way to drop off money to his boss. The take is much larger than they imagined; along with a Russian gun called a Tokarev, they get away with a briefcase full of cash. It’s enough for Paul to leave the life of crime and go legit, but their crime sets off a bloody protracted war between their Irish crime family and the Russian mob. Ty Hackett (Columbus Short), an armed service veteran, is now an employee of Eagle Shield security, as a member of one of their many armored car transport teams. Now the legal guardian of younger brother Jimmy (Andre Kinney), the Silver Star recipient struggles to make ends meet. In a bar after an armored car prank heist played on Ty, his co-workers recount several historical attacks on armored cars. It is explained that Ashcroft (Fred Ward), their immediate supervisor, was once involved in an ambush, becoming the only survivor as he single-handedly killed five assailants. This story was topped by "a better" one of an armored car jacking in '88, wherein the guards surrendered the funds they were escorting in order to prevent the killing of a fellow guard; it concluded in the safety of all the guards and escape of the hijackers. The thieves were never caught, and the crew speculates that the escort team staged the attack.

On their way home from a family party, married couple David (Luke Wilson) and Amy Fox, (Kate Beckinsale) who are planning to divorce after their young son Charlie accidentally died, take a wrong turn on a remote mountain road. When their car breaks down, they discover they are lost in the middle of nowhere with no cell phone reception, and decide to start walking back to The Pinewood Motel where they had earlier consulted with a mechanic about noises with the car. The couple arrive at the motel where there are no other cars parked. At the counter desk, they couple hear piercing screams coming from the back room which makes Amy reluctant to stay. The motel manager, Mason (Frank Whaley) then appears and explains that the noises are coming from the television. The couple then book a room for the night.

At the deathbed of her wealthy cousin Adeline (Chaplin), poor seamstress Bette Fischer (Lange) promises to take care of her cousin's family.
