Brandon Jay McLaren (born October 15, 1982) is a Canadian television actor. He is best known for his role as Jack Landors, the Red SPD Power Ranger, on Power Rangers S.P.D., and Danny Brooks on Harper's Island. He was a guest star in the episode "Bloodlines" of Blade: The Series and was featured throughout the first season of The N original television series The Best Years as Devon Sylver, the love interest of lead character Samantha Best. He is also well-known to Canadian audiences for his role of Lenin, Sam's love interest, in the popular show Being Erica, and he portrayed Jamil Dexter as a recurring role on TNT's Falling Skies.
He currently stars as U.S. Customs agent Dale Jakes on Graceland.
He graduated from Johnston Heights Secondary School in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, and received a bachelor's degree in Human Biology from the State University of New York at Albany.

Casper Galloway, an overly cautious boy, has become afraid of anything dangerous since the day his father died at the Occult Barn, his grandfather's shop. When his grandfather Horus receives a lifetime achievement award, Casper mans the shop so Horus can collect the trophy. Horus warns "no-one is to come within spit distance" of an urn kept on a high shelf topped with a skull; Horus's father imprisoned a malevolent spirit inside the urn and it will curse the person that lets it out. The girl Casper has a crush on visits and he tries impressing her with a free purchase for loyal patronage to the Occult Barn. However, more of their friends arrive. Casper takes down the urn to show off to the girl and clumsily drops it. Casper tries warning them of the danger, but they laugh at him. Skeptical, they invent a curse: anyone with whom they make eye contact after 10pm (since Midnight is cliche) kills themselves and comes back as a "zemon", a zombie possessed by the evil spirit. The zemons spread their infection through hickeys rather than bites, and those infected kill themselves and become zemons. They are given till morning to undue the curse. However, they were too stupid to come up with an easy way to break the curse.

Burke Ryan (Aaron Eckhart), is a successful Ph.D. and author of a self-help book that gives advice about dealing with the loss of a loved one. He writes the book after his wife dies in a car accident as a way to deal with the grief. While giving a workshop in Seattle, where his wife was from, he meets Eloise (Jennifer Aniston), a creative floral designer who owns her own flower-shop. It seems, however, that Burke has not been following his own advice, and in fact has not been dealing with the loss of his wife. In the end, he confesses to an audience that he was driving the car, and not his wife, as he previously maintained. Due to this, he blames himself for her death. Eloise, along with his wife's father (Martin Sheen), help Burke move past his wife's death. Burke goes to Eloise, telling her that she had spent the last few days getting to know the part of him that was not available and wondered was she interested in getting to know the part of him that was available.

Joan Burrows (Bettis) returns to her hometown of Ovid, Colorado to attend her niece Olympia's (Blanton) high school graduation, but finds herself confronted by her past in the town. Before the graduation is to occur, a young couple goes missing and within a few days a mutilated body is found in the water during a town fish festival. This initiates flashbacks in which Joan's dark past is learned. When Joan was 17, she and her best friend were kidnapped and tortured by a serial killer by the name of Bishop (Cotton). Bishop bound Joan and her friend to an autopsy table where one girl was tortured while the other had the power to make it stop simply by demanding the death of the friend. Joan was able to escape and kill her captor, but was left as the sole survivor of the spree with a scar on her cheek. With the present day's body count rising, questions arise whether Bishop had evaded death or if a new copy cat killer has arisen.
