Frederick Robert "Fred" Williamson, nicknamed "The Hammer" (born March 5, 1938) is an American actor and former professional American football defensive back who played mainly in the American Football League during the 1960s. He has black belts in Kenpo, Shotokan Karate, and Tae-Kwon-Do. Since 1997 Williamson has had a home in Palm Springs, California.

Biography

D'abord joueur de football américain (defensive back), Fred Williamson, surnommé The Hammer (« le marteau »), joue dans les années 1960 pour des clubs comme les Raiders d'Oakland ou les Chiefs de Kansas City.

Comme son collègue Jim Brown, il devient ensuite acteur et apparaît principalement dans des films d'action. Vedette de la blaxploitation dans les années 1970, il tient des rôles dans de nombreux films de série B, aux États-Unis mais aussi en Europe.

The movie takes place in 1975. The story centers around two cops who eagerly work for the Bay City Police Department. Detective David Starsky (Ben Stiller) is a loud, macho acting cop who loves his Ford Gran Torino, and recklessly pursues people for minor offenses, and Detective Ken 'Hutch' Hutchinson (Owen Wilson), is a cool easy-going cop, who sometimes actually works alongside criminals, claiming to be undercover, to investigate their activity. The two cops are made partners, almost as punishment for their recent shenanigans. While the two are wary of each other from the beginning, Jewish-American drug kingpin, Reese Feldman (Vince Vaughn), and his partner-in-crime, Kevin (Jason Bateman), are planning to bring in a shipment of drugs worth millions of dollars. They have developed a new type of cocaine which is untraceable in scent and taste. When Feldman finds out that one of his drug pushers failed a drug transport operation, he kills him and leaves the body in the ocean.

A discovery in the near future makes it possible to create genetically engineered and enhanced human clones. The consequence of this discovery results in bio-ethical chaos. In order to right this wrong, the World Health Organization imposes a global ban on all human cloning activity. A group of scientists at the Nova Corporation, a leader in cloning research, have made miraculous advances in the replication of human beings. When one of their colleagues, a mad scientist by the name of Dr. Oh (Morita), creates an "Obedience Strain" that will allow him mind control over the clones, Nova Corp casts him out and revokes his license.
