Haim Saban, né le 15 octobre 1944 à Alexandrie en Égypte, est un homme d'affaires, producteur de télévision et compositeur américano-israélien.
Haim Saban grandit jusqu'à ses douze ans en Égypte, puis émigre avec sa famille, en 1956, en Israël à Tel Aviv, lors du départ forcé des Juifs égyptiens faisant suite à la nationalisation de leurs biens et à leur déchéance de nationalité décidée par une loi spéciale voulue par Gamal Abdel Nasser, après le conflit israélo-égyptien de 1956.
Il commence sa carrière professionnelle comme organisateur de concerts, mais arrête en 1973 à la suite d'un échec commercial.
Il quitte alors l'État d'Israël et s'installe en France. Il connaît ses premiers succès en tant que producteur de disques, notamment de bandes originales de séries télévisées à succès, telles que Goldorak, Ulysse 31, Les Mystérieuses Cités d'or, Starsky et Hutch, L'Homme qui tombe à pic (dont il est l'interprète du générique français) ou encore Dallas.
En 1983, il produit le titre Si la vie est cadeau interprété par Corinne Hermès, qui remporte le grand prix de l'Eurovision 1983 en représentant le Luxembourg. Cette même année, il part avec 500 000 dollars pour Los Angeles.

Il y importe des dessins animés japonais, et triomphe en 1993 en adaptant les séries japonaises de sentai avec les Power Rangers, qui est une licence américaine. Il en adapte d'autres par la suite, telles que Masked Rider, VR Troopers ou Beetleborgs, et crée sa propre série avec Les Chevaliers de Tir Na Nog.
En 1995, il crée une coentreprise avec Rupert Murdoch afin de lancer la chaîne pour enfants Fox Kids.
Il revend avec Rupert Murdoch ses parts de Fox Kids au groupe Disney en 2001, pour 5,3 milliards de dollars. Le catalogue musical de Saban Entertainment reste toutefois sa possession.
En 2003, il intervient sur le marché allemand lors de la chute du groupe audiovisuel de Leo Kirch en devenant l'actionnaire principal du consortium supervisant Sat.1 et ProSieben. Il cherche à revendre cette participation au groupe Axel Springer dès août 2005 et réalise, après sa vente, une substantielle plus-value.
Politiquement, il est proche du Parti démocrate aux États-Unis et du Parti travailliste en Israël. Généreux donateur du Parti démocrate en Californie, il soutient par la suite le gouverneur républicain Arnold Schwarzenegger après la réorientation de ce dernier vers une gouvernance moins libérale.
En 2015, il soutient la candidature de Hillary Clinton.

The film follows the adventures of Baron Munchausen, who is prompted to travel to the moon by his cousin Sirius, an astrologer convinced that it is inhabited by an ancient race called the Selenites. The Selentites incidentally possess the secret of immortality. The Baron takes up his cousin's offer and travels to the moon using a tall masted ship pulled by three hot air balloons and he is aided by his super-ability friends (who are from the prequel to this film, The Fabulous Adventures of the Legendary Baron Munchausen). When they reach the moon, they are initially placed in jeopardy as their craft lands in a crater and they fall into a subterranean sea inhabited by monsters; however, the Selentites come to rescue them and take them back to their kingdom where they meet the King and Queen. However, while he is there with his friends, the moon is invaded by the Green Meanies, led by the ostentatious Trivert, who will stop at nothing to get the talisman of eternal life for themselves. They manage to defeat the meanies and they are awarded the talisman for themselves and for Sirius - and they gain the secret of eternal life. The film ends with the Baron and Sirius at the end of the 20th Century, in a futuristic world inhabited by flying cars and skyscrapers reminiscing on their adventures.

The film follows Chávez's efforts to organize 50,000 farm workers in California, some of whom were braceros—temporary workers from Mexico permitted to live and work in the United States in agriculture, and required to return to Mexico if they stopped working. Working conditions are very poor for the braceros, who also suffer from racism and brutality at the hands of the employers and local Californians. To help the workers, César Chávez (Michael Peña) forms a labor union known as the United Farm Workers (UFW). Chávez's efforts opposed, sometimes violently, by the owners of the large industrial farms where the braceros work. The film touches on several major nonviolent campaigns by the UFW: the Delano grape strike, the Salad Bowl strike, and the 1975 Modesto march.

It's Christmas Eve and Richie Rich, the world's richest kid, is all excited to spend the day with his friends. While racing wildly with his friends in the snow, Richie's butler, Cadbury, controls the cars using a remote and guides the children back to Richie's house. He then reminds him about his responsibilities that are due to be executed on Christmas Eve, and instructs him to change his clothes and get ready for tea. Before going to do so, he visits his home scientist, Professor Keanbean, who shows him his recent invention, a wishing machine which works only on Christmas Eve. The day being that, Richie wishes for a "big pie" from it, and is given a "pig sty" instead. Cadbury is disgusted seeing this, and sends him off to change his clothes. He meets his parents, Richard and Regina Rich, to ask what they would like to have for Christmas. While with them, he also tries out his father's new fishing rod invented by Keanbean, which hooks on to a tuna sandwich in the vicinity. He then goes on to change his clothes.

The film opens with the tail end of a Friday night baseball game. With the bases loaded, the home team wins by a narrow margin as the batter hits the ball out of the park. Both the celebration of the home team and fans and the dread of losing for the visiting team are cut short as a mysterious spaceship floats over the park, thus snatching the attention of everybody there: the players, the fans, the hot dog and popcorn vendors, and the announcer. After the ship performs a tune, it dissipates into three floating balls of light. One of them forms into a ghost who initially appears as an alien, but thereafter, is revealed to be Fatso (voiced by Jess Harnell), a member of The Ghostly Trio, who releases gas which hits the scoreboard, causing it to explode, also sparking terror. The other two ghosts of the trio, Stinky (voiced by Bill Farmer), and Stretch (voiced by Jim Ward), join in, causing panic in the park, as everybody got frightened. Casper (voiced by Jeremy Foley), a shy, friendly ghost (whom all three ghosts are uncles to), arrives, attempting to settle the frightened crowd, but the people are just as scared, saying that Casper's a ghost and ran away. The park is eventually empty, as Casper's uncles plan a vacation.

At the beginning of the movie Casper is on a train full of ghosts, with no idea of where he is and is completely unaware that he is a ghost himself. Instead of going to Ghost Central, where the train is headed, he is kicked off the train. Casper then finds himself in the city of Deedstown, where he unintentionally scares all of the town's citizens. Only then does Casper realize that he is in fact a ghost.

On a distant planet, a wizard named Lerigot is being hunted by Divatox; an intergalactic space pirate, who seeks his golden key in order to traverse an inter-dimensional gateway and enter into matrimony with Maligore, a demon who promises to grant her great riches and power. The Power Rangers: Rocky DeSantos, Adam Park, Billy Cranston, Aisha Campbell, Kimberly Hart, and Tommy Oliver, participate with Bulk and Skull in a charity sky dive for the Angel Grove observatory, in anticipation of Ryan's Comet which will pass by in two days. Having waited too long, Bulk and Skull accidentally land in a construction site. They avoid getting into trouble before a giant egg is unearthed from a chamber underground. The evil energy alerts Zordon, an interdimensional wizard and the Rangers' mentor, who warns them of Ivan Ooze: a morphological being bent on the conquest of Earth. Zordon sends the Rangers to return the egg to its chamber, unaware that Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa have already freed Ivan Ooze and ordered him to destroy Zordon. Ivan leaves the Rangers to face his Oozelings while he lays siege to their Command Center and incapacitates Zordon. Meanwhile, the Rangers morph and dispatch the Oozelings before suddenly losing their powers. Making their way to the Command Center, they find it destroyed and Zordon outside of his time warp, now dying from rapid aging.

Warning, Spoiler Ahead! The Barton family; siblings Wendy, Krista and Billy and their father Eddie become stranded on a beach while sailing from Prince Rupert to their home in Ketchikan, Alaska. The plot concerns the family going to extreme lengths to survive after they get stranded on an island in a storm and lose their boat. Billy builds a raft and they attempt to sail to safety but they don't get far. Eddie and Billie head off to seek help while the two daughters try to keep warm under the remains of their boat's sail. Eddie and Billy find their way to a cabin on the mainland but can't raise help. On day 23 they are able to return to the island and find that the girls are alive. Eddie and Wendy have frostbitten feet but all in the family survive and they are able to return to Ketchikan.

The Phantom of the Opera (Charles Dance) is a disfigured musician named Erik who lives below the Opéra Garnier in Paris. He has a large part in managing each performance through his friend Gerard Carriere (Burt Lancaster). The Phantom's life changes when Carriere is dismissed and the opera hires a new manager, Choleti. Choleti's wife Carlotta is a spoiled woman with a bad personality and terrible voice to match; it is obvious that Choleti bought his way into the managership to further his wife's career. The Phantom takes an instant dislike to them both. Choleti and Carlotta refuse to listen to warnings about the "ghost" who haunts the opera house, even when Joseph Buquet, Carlotta's wardrobe man, goes down below and does not return (his is later found to have been killed). Christine Daae (Teri Polo) comes to the Paris Opera House in search of voice lessons that Phillipe, the Comte de Chagny promised her, learning that she is not the first pretty face that Phillipe brought there. Carlotta initially dismisses her, but upon learning that Christine "has a patron who is powerful" states that Christine can work in the costume department in Buquet's place. Christine has no home or money, but Jean-Claude, the doorman, lets her stay in a storage room in the Opera House. That night, Christine wanders onto the stage and sings to the empty theater. The Phantom is immediately entranced by her voice. Hiding in the orchestra pit, he tells her that her voice is miraculous but untrained, and with proper technique her singing could reach its full potential. He offers to be her teacher, but must remain anonymous; that is why he wears a mask. They begin lessons, and the Phantom falls deeper in love with her. When she asks of his opinion on the Comte de Chagny, he replies "he is unworthy of you. He comes to the Opera for the wrong reasons ... he comes for the beauty of faces rather than the beauty of music.
