Leonard Carey is a Actor British born on 25 february 1887
Leonard Carey (25 February 1887 – 11 September 1977) was an English-born character actor who very often played butlers in Hollywood films of the 1930s, '40s, and '50s. He was also active in television during the 1950s. He is perhaps best known for his role as the beach hermit, Ben, in Alfred Hitchcock's Rebecca (1940).
One of his biggest roles was as "Dusty" in the film, Moon Over Her Shoulder (1941) with John Sutton. Other memorable appearances included roles in The Awful Truth (1937), Heaven Can Wait (1943), Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train (1951), Snows of Kilimanjaro (1952), and Thunder in the East (1953).
Carey retired from acting in the late 1950s. He died at age ninety in Woodland Hills, California. His interment was at Chapel of the Pines Crematory.

A seemingly kind painter, Henry Elcott, tricks wealthy art collector Mary Herries into letting him, his wife Ada and their baby live in her London home. Ada has collapsed and a doctor claims it is best she not be moved. It turns out to be a diabolical scheme by Elcott to sell off the artwork of Mrs. Herries and everything else of value she owns while holding her and her housemaid Rose captive in their bedrooms. Irene (Greer Garson) is the wife of Victorian "man of property" Soames Forsyte (Errol Flynn), having married without love but after many proposals. Rebelling against her husband's preoccupation with material possessions, a list in which she is included, Irene falls in love with unconventional architect Philip Bosinney (Robert Young), who is engaged to Soames' niece June (Janet Leigh), one of Irene's closest friends. Based on Neil Swanson's Unconquered, a Novel of the Pontiac Conspiracy, the film focuses on "Abby" Hale (Paulette Goddard), who is condemned to death by a British court, then offered clemency if she will become an indentured servant in America. There is a bidding competition between Captain Christopher Holden (Gary Cooper) and Martin Garth (Howard Da Silva), which Holden wins. He then sets her free. Unfortunately, Garth is a sore loser; he kidnaps Abby and takes her to the western frontier, where he is involved in illegal arms sales to the Native Americans. Soon, Holden becomes involved in the conflict with the warring tribes and is reunited with Abby; he also has further confrontations with Garth and his henchman (Mike Mazurki).
