All the Whos down in Whoville enjoy celebrating Christmas with much happiness and joy, except for the cynical and misanthropic Grinch (Jim Carrey) the Whos with great wrath and occasionally pulls dangerous and harmful practical jokes on them. In Chicago, Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy) works at a dead-end desk job with an overbearing boss, takes anti-anxiety medication for panic attacks, and has an unfaithful live-in girlfriend who cheats on him with his friend and colleague Barry. Slate and Co. In 1941, SS colonel Hans Landa, the "Jew Hunter", interrogates French dairy farmer Perrier LaPadite as to the whereabouts of the last unaccounted-for Jewish family in the neighborhood. In Kraków during World War II, the Germans had forced local Polish Jews into the overcrowded Kraków Ghetto. Oskar Schindler, an ethnic German, arrives in the city hoping to make his fortune. A member of the Nazi Party, Schindler lavishes bribes on Wehrmacht (German armed forces) and SS officials and acquires a factory to produce enamelware. To help him run the business, Schindler enlists the aid of Itzhak Stern, a local Jewish official who has contacts with black marketeers and the Jewish business community. Stern helps Schindler arrange loans to finance the factory. Schindler maintains friendly relations with the Nazis and enjoys wealth and status as "Herr Direktor", and Stern handles administration. Schindler hires Jewish workers because they cost less, while Stern ensures that as many people as possible are deemed essential to the German war effort, which saves them from being transported to concentration camps or killed.

Gaylord "Greg" Focker (Stiller) is preparing to celebrate his twins' fifth birthday party. Things seem to go awry when Greg's father-in-law Jack Byrnes (De Niro) visits. Recently, Jack has been diagnosed with a heart condition and become embittered by his daughter Debbie's divorce from her husband, Bob (whose marriage was the social event in the first film and how Jack and Greg met), for cheating on her with a nurse. Ils sont tous deux arrêtés pour vol de matériel de Jaeger et construction illégale de Jaeger, et afin d'éviter la prison, sont obligés d'accepter d'être embarqués sur une base militaire en Chine où Jake retrouve son ancien copilote de jaeger, Nate Lambert, afin de former les nouvelles recrues pilotes, qu'Amara rejoint. Sur place, tout le monde est en effervescence car les Jaegers sont sur le point d'être rendus obsolètes par le vote d'un programme de drones produits par Shao Corporation et développés par Liwen Shao et le Dr Newton Geiszler. Jake retrouve par ailleurs sa demi-sœur, Mako Mori, devenue Secrétaire Générale du Pan Pacific Defense Corps. Mais alors que le sommet pour le vote est sur le point de commencer à Sydney (QG du PPDC), un Jaeger illégal débarque et attaque la ville, tuant Mako Mori.
