AB Svensk Filmindustri or Svensk Filmindustri (SF) is a Swedish film production company, distributor (both Swedish and international) and movie theatre chain, currently owned by the Bonnier Group. It was established on 27 December 1919.
It produced most of the films made by Ingmar Bergman, as well as a long list of films by other Swedish filmmakers. The majority of film adaptations of the works by children's author Astrid Lindgren have been produced by SF.
SF also distributes foreign films in the Nordic countries and has deals with New Line Cinema, Summit Entertainment, Spyglass Entertainment and Revolution Studios in the United States.

In a remote place of Sweden, men working on the digging of a canal to dry up a marsh are housed in the nearby farms. In one of them live Johan and his mother together with a young girl, Marit. One of the workers tries unsuccessfully to kiss her. Some time later, while Johan is out floating timber on the other side of the river, he falls and crushes his leg. He lights a fire that Marit sees from the house. She crosses the river on a rowing boat and carries him back home and takes care of him. On his sick-bed, he asks her to be his wife. She accepts it quite unresponsively. Johan's mother is determined to avoid what she sees as a misalliance. He reminds her how 18 years before they had found her on the side of the road next to her dying mother. The mother orders Marit to leave the house but Johan, seeing the scene from his sick-bed orders her to stay and eventually marries her against his mother's will.

En 1941,après la Guerre d'Hiver, prise en étau entre deux régimes répressifs, la Finlande n'a pas d'autre choix que de s'allier avec l'Allemagne nazie pour lutter contre l'URSS, son éternelle rivale à l'Est qui a envahi leurs terres. Dès lors, l'affrontement féroce entre les soviétiques et les finlandais se déroule en juillet 1941, en Carélie du Nord, où les seconds, sous le commandement de l'officier Koskela, sont chargés de mener l'offensive contre leurs ennemis afin de récupérer leur territoire. Mais ces derniers sont lourdement armés et bien préparés au grand désarroi des finlandais qui, malgré tout, parviennent à traverser la frontière soviétique où ils découvrent rapidement l'horreur et la futilité de la guerre. Parmi eux, le jeune lieutenant Kariluoto, bourgeois et idéaliste, est déstabilisé par les qualités stratégiques du caporal vétéran Rokka, agriculteur qui défie sa hiérarchie mais fait preuve d'une rare humanité.

1982 Stockholm: Bobo and Klara are 13-year-old girls ostracized by their peers for their love of punk rock. Max (Per Morberg) is a successful New York-based advertisement photographer, but betrayal from his parents and girlfriend has made him bitter, mean and lonely. Eva Tanguy is the mother of Carl Hamilton's goddaughter Natalie and the director of the Swedish Security Service. When she confounds a terroristic assassination on Swedish soil, the assassin is unfortunately killed in her presence. This draws more attention to her person than ever but she sticks to her previous promise to give an interview for a big newspaper. The journalists twist her words in a way that provokes Islamists. As a result Nathalie gets kidnapped. She is filming with her smartphone when this happens and this provides a trace for Hamilton. Soon he realises the kidnappers were mercenaries with a SAS background. His investigation leads him to the United Kingdom where he tries to retrieve information from one of their old SAS comrades who is evidently unwilling to fill in an outsider. He attempts to put Hamilton down and dies trying. Hamilton is then arrested and delivered to the SIS Building where he faces being interrogated by high-ranked MI-6 officials. After his release he learns he mustn't even rely on his own country's secret service when he wants to rescue his goddaughter. As soon as he knows where Nathalie is kept, he asks Mouna al Fathar to help him. She demands that the leader of these Islamists will also be deducted because the PLO wants him brought before an international court. Together with Nathalie's father, a former member of the French Foreign Legion, they raid the terrorist's garrison. But Pierre Tanguy is out of shape and the terrorist leader is of all things secretly supported by an US-American who plays all sides. Hamilton gets caught and becomes subject to enhanced interrogation techniques.

Carl Hamilton must leave his girlfriend because he gets assigned to infiltrate an international gang of smugglers who are about to sell Swedish missiles to terrorists. Hamilton's life depends on making the criminals at all times believe he was a Russian. When the weapon dealers and the terrorists meet, the whole transaction haywires and Hamilton has to kill and run. Being on his own, he cannot retrieve the missiles. Back in Sweden he is berated by a new superior. He returns to his girlfriend and admits he wants to quit his job. They have a reunion but she is a doctor and has to leave him in the middle of the night because of an emergency. He falls into sleep, recalling in his dream how he had to kill at close range during his recent mission. When she touches him while his nightmare peaks, he reacts as if he still was among cutthroats. Before he can even open his eyes he carries out a trained reflex and kills her. Obviously shocked and dismayed he leaves he flat. He blames his mentor DG for having him turned into a killing machine. DG persuades him not to give himself up and sends him abroad to rescue a Swedish technician who seems to be involved in the matter of the smuggled Swedish missiles. But a Western agency for mercenaries named Sectragon plans to kindle a new war as a profitable new business opportunity. They even attempt to assassinate a foreign head of state in Sweden. Hamilton can confound their scheme. Finally he visits the inspector who investigates the death of his late girlfriend. He comes clear but also tells her to drop the case. Hamilton must keep on doing his job because it is just... In the interest of the nation.
