L'histoire commence avec Red, un oiseau souvent colérique à cause de plusieurs raisons injustes envers lui, qui court comme un dératé pour effectuer une livraison chez une famille d'oiseaux, officiant en tant que clown pour anniversaire. Il leur apporte un gâteau, mais un accident se produit : Red brise accidentellement un œuf, dont le petit le prend pour son père, tout cela à cause des parents l'ayant volontairement prit de haut suite a son retard.
Les Angry Birds se lancent dans une nouvelle aventure, tandis que le roi Leonard, souverain des cochons verts, prend sa revanche sur la bande d’oiseaux après qu’ils aient dévasté son pays natal lors d'une précédente bataille pour récupérer leurs œufs. Pendant ce temps, un mystérieux oiseau violet nommé Zeta, fatiguée de sa vie sur une île lointaine et polaire, les menace toutes et tous de ses propres projets de conquête.
En 1941,après la Guerre d'Hiver, prise en étau entre deux régimes répressifs, la Finlande n'a pas d'autre choix que de s'allier avec l'Allemagne nazie pour lutter contre l'URSS, son éternelle rivale à l'Est qui a envahi leurs terres. Dès lors, l'affrontement féroce entre les soviétiques et les finlandais se déroule en juillet 1941, en Carélie du Nord, où les seconds, sous le commandement de l'officier Koskela, sont chargés de mener l'offensive contre leurs ennemis afin de récupérer leur territoire. Mais ces derniers sont lourdement armés et bien préparés au grand désarroi des finlandais qui, malgré tout, parviennent à traverser la frontière soviétique où ils découvrent rapidement l'horreur et la futilité de la guerre. Parmi eux, le jeune lieutenant Kariluoto, bourgeois et idéaliste, est déstabilisé par les qualités stratégiques du caporal vétéran Rokka, agriculteur qui défie sa hiérarchie mais fait preuve d'une rare humanité.
One day Moomintroll wakes to notice that grey dust is covering everything in the Moominvalley. He runs to ask the philosophical Muskrat if he knows what is happening, who advises him that things tend to look like this before an awful fate coming from the sky hits the Earth. With the help of his father, Moominpappa, Moomintroll and his close friends Sniff and Snufkin build a raft and head out on a challenging journey to the observatory in the Lonely Mountains hoping to find out more from the wise professors there. The friends have to overcome several adversities in order to make it there. When they arrive, they find the professors deep in calculations. They reveal that a comet will reach the Earth in four days, four hours, four minutes and 44 seconds.
The film opens in 2018 with an American manned landing mission to the Moon. The lander carries two astronauts, one of them an African American male model, James Washington, specifically chosen to aid the U.S. President in her re-election (various "Black to the Moon" word-play posters are seen in the film, extolling the new Moon landing).

After a man called Janne living in Lapland in Northern Finland fails to acquire a digital television adapter for his wife from the local utility store due to not reaching it before closure time, he sets out with his two friends in the middle of the night to get one by any means necessary. He sets up a late rendezvous with his father-in-law who owns an electronics store in Rovaniemi, several hundred kilometers away. Nothing is naturally ever simple and along the way, the trio end up having several comedic misadventures.
Marcel Marx, a former bohemian and struggling author, has given up his literary ambitions and relocated to the port city Le Havre. He leads a simple life based around his wife Arletty, his favourite bar and his not too profitable profession as a shoeshiner. As Arletty suddenly becomes seriously ill, Marcel's path crosses with an underage illegal immigrant from Africa. Marcel and friendly neighbors and other townspeople help to hide him from the police. The police inspector may, or may not, be hot on their heels.
The story is a discussion between Eero and his biological mother (Kirsti), where they are talking to each other and clarifying their misunderstanding and difference in present time. Eero has just come back from his visit from Sweden for Signe's (Swedish mother) funeral.

Koistinen (Janne Hyytiäinen) is a lonely nightwatchman tasked with guarding a shopping mall. He attempts to socialize, but is treated coldly by his manager and subjected to mocking by his colleagues. While he is drinking alone in a bar, he catches the eye of some criminals headed by Lindholm (Ilkka Koivula) who learn of his occupation. Koistinen's only human contact is the grill vendor Aila (Maria Heiskanen) to whom he outlines his plans of starting his own company.
