A Killer Among Friends is a 1992 made-for-television movie that aired on CBS on December 8, 1992. Based on a true story, the film stars Patty Duke as a mother grieving for her murdered daughter (Tiffani Thiessen) and sets out to find the killer. The film is based on the real life murder of Michele Avila.
Synopsis
Jennifer Anne Monroe (Tiffani Thiessen) is a typical all American teenage girl, who has a falling out with her best friend Ellen Holloway (Margaret Welsh) and doesn't return home. Jenny's mother, Jean (Patty Duke), is worried for her daughter, and three days later, Jenny's body is discovered in a creek with a 100 pound log across her back. Furious about the murder, Ellen and Jean both try and track down the killer. Ellen and her daughter, Celeste (Heather and Shannon Beaty) move into Jean's house. Ellen had wanted Jenny's room, but Jean had Ellen sleeping in her bedroom, as Jenny's room was later turned into a nursery for when her grandchild would visit.Actors

Synopsis A Atlanta, entre 1979 et 1981, 29 garçons afro-américains, dont la plupart sont encore des enfants, disparaissent ou sont retrouvés assassinés. A small oil rig located on a small river in Louisiana hits it big and former oiler John Sanders (who quit when a blowout occurred on a rig he was the boss of and four men died) and his friend Emery are hired to take his ex-wife Kelly and her boss to the location. Nearby, some thugs do diving for stolen goods that were dumped nearby. Unfortunately, at the same time, a huge bull shark enters the river and starts terrorizing and killing people. Emery's people, a local tribe, believe that the shark is a spirit that supposedly protects the area where the well is manifested in physical form as vengeance for the oil rig.

A magnitude 10.5 earthquake destroys Los Angeles, California and triggers a massive tsunami which causes massive damage to Honolulu, Hawaii. It turns out to be only the first of a series of seismic events, including the awakening of extinct volcanoes, sudden instability of aquifers, and awakening of ancient faults. The Hoover Dam in Boulder City, Nevada collapses when Lake Mead starts to heat up and expand beyond the spillway's capacity. Las Vegas, Nevada is then destroyed when acidic water undermines underground limestone, creating a massive sinkhole. The worst of the seismic events is a massive fault which has opened up under South Dakota, destroying Mount Rushmore in the process.
