Synopsis
Un homme s'ébat pendant son sommeil et, éveillé (ou dans son imagination onirique), voit apparaître une femme au bout de son lit. Il veut l'y inviter, quand soudain, elle se transforme en satyre dansant, puis en Pierrot (la musique jouée alors est Au clair de la lune). Les cloisons de la chambre s'ouvrent alors, et une lune grimaçante apparaît. Alors qu'il veut la frapper, elle redevient normale, quand arrivent les trois anciens personnages qui se mettent à danser autour de lui. Enfin, il se réveille, et se rend compte qu'il cauchemardait.Actors

The film opens with a large bat flying into a medieval castle. The bat circles the room, before suddenly changing into Mephistopheles, an incarnation of the Devil. Mephistopheles produces a cauldron and an assistant, who helps him conjure a woman from the cauldron.

Two men enter a room in a castle; one offers a chair to the other, and then exits. The remaining man attempts to sit down, but the chair moves away from him and he falls to the ground. When the man approaches the chair, it turns first into a ghost, then a skeleton, and then an armored knight; then it disappears completely. Turning, the man finds himself confronted by Satan. He attempts to escape, but his way is blocked by a ghost.

Anthony the Great's devotions in a cave are disrupted by the sudden appearance of a young maiden who he banishes and returns to his prayer book. Two maidens then appear either side of him only to be quickly banished. The saint kisses a skull relic only for it to transform into a third woman, who is rejoined by the others to form encircle him before vanishing. The saint kneels before an image of Christ on the cross only for this to transform into one of the maidens. He is finally saved by the appearance of an angel who returns all to normal.
