Ami Shudhu Cheyechi Tomay is a West Bengal and Bangladesh joint film directed by Ashok Pati and Anonno Mamun and produced by Ashok Dhanuka under the banner of Eskay Movies. The film features Bengali actors Ankush Hazra, Subhasree Ganguly and Vikram Chatterjee in the lead roles. It is a remake of Telugu movie Arya 2. The music for the film was composed by Savvy. Title track of the film became super hit even before the film release. The film is a super hit in box office.

The film begins with Abir (Ankush Hazra), a young, energetic photojournalist working for the private newspaper Anandabazar Patrika (ABP), witnessing Naxalites robbing a local bank. He chases them and manages to click photos of the robbers. When he tries to escape, he is stopped by a young woman Naina (Srabanti Malakar) who assumes he is the culprit and helps the robbers to take his camera. However, Abir manages to secure the memory card of the camera. The cops catch him, and to prove that he is a press photographer he shows the photos to them. The cops identify everyone in the photos except the gang leader (whose face is covered by a mask). At his office, Abir again meets Nayana, who has newly joined as Article Editor. Payel (Sayani Ghosh) also works in his office and has feelings for Abir. However, Abir does not reciprocate her feelings and treats her only as a friend.

The film is about Abir Roy a.k.a. Khoka/Khokababu (Dev) who is a cool and a clever guy. Shankar Das a.k.a. Bhaiji (Ferdous) is a well-known don in his territory whom everybody fears and obeys. She even goes to his house to stay for 3 days as Bhaiji's rival Ballu (Ashish Vidyarthi) is after her life. Bhaiji is completely unaware of Khoka and Pooja's relation, however he does come to know about it later. Can their love survive when Bhaiji is over-possessive about his sister and goons like Ballu are on the loose to take revenge from Bhaiji by killing his sister Pooja? That's how our super-clever Chalu Cheez Khokababu takes the story ahead.

So Abid promises to make their marriage to be happened.
