Abraham's Valley (Portuguese: Vale Abraão) is a 1993 Portuguese-language drama film directed by Manoel de Oliveira, based on a novel by Agustina Bessa-Luís. The film was selected as the Portuguese entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 66th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.

Synopsis

Sur les bords du Douro, dans la propriété du Romesal, Ema, une adolescente de 14 ans est élevée par son père, austère mais sympathique, entourée de sa tante dévote et des servantes du domaine : Branca, Marina et Rithina qui est muette.
