The movie released on 1 December 2011 in Singapore and was selected as the Singaporean entry for the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards, but it did not make the final shortlist.
Already Famous was well received in Singapore, where it grossed S$1.04 million and viewer demand for the film grew so high that movies theaters had to double the number of screens showing the film.
Synopsis
Ah Kiao (Michelle Chong) is a young village woman that spends much of her time dreaming about becoming a famous actor like the ones she sees in her beloved soap operas, much to the chagrin of her family. Despite her family's disapproval, she travels to Singapore to chase her dream and ends up taking on a job as a salesgirl to make ends meet while auditioning. During her stay Ah meets a handsome coffee shop worker (Alien Huang), which threatens to distract her from her dream.Actors

The police prepares to trap the Drug Lord of Naples. The plan fails and Rizzo (Bud Spencer) decides to interrogate him for the last time, but when he arrives the Drug Lord has been murdered. Rizzo is accused of the murder and decides to investigate the arrival of an Italo-American mafia man, Frank Barella (Al Lettieri). The information given by Barella and Ferramenti (Dominic Barto) makes Rizzo believe that there is a rat in the police department, and, therefore, he must go to the Far East to find out who he is. On his way through Thailand, Hong Kong and Macau, Rizzo encounters Barella, and this leads him to believe who is the corrupt police senior.

Raja Rao Bahadur (Kanta Rao) is the head of a wealthy and charitable landlord family who has a young son Sreedhar. At his son's request, Rao helps his college friend (Hari) with the costs of higher education abroad. Hari is grateful and invites Sreedhar to his sister Laxmi's (Sangeeta) wedding in the village.
