This film stars Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja, Soundarya, Sarath Babu and Gangadhar Panday. The music was composed by Mani Sharma. While Bhupati Raja provided story, writer Satyanand penned dialogues.
Annayya was a huge box office hit both critically and commercially due to Chiru's performances. The film had collected a distributors' share of Rs.60 million in the initial two weeks after its release. It completed 50 days in 92 centres and 100 days in 60 centres, which made Annayya one of the highlest acclaimed films of Chiranjeevi in his career.
Synopsis
Rajaram (Chiranjeevi), owner of a fleet of lorries, meets Devi (Soundarya), a garment factory owner. After that acquaintance, she once seeks his help in dealing with two street ruffians, who were teasing her sisters, Lata (Chandini) and Geetha (Sishwa), and is shocked when the culprits turn out to be his brothers, Ravi (Ravi Teja) and Gopi (Venkat). Rajaram takes the incident lightly as the pranks of youngsters and is very lenient to them. With more such incidents, the two fall in love, with the brothers and sisters not far behind.Actors

Misro (Charan Raj) is a dacoit SP Chakravarthy (Sarath Babu) arrests him. Misro wounds himself and is taken to hospital for cure, where Chakravarthy is waiting for his wife Geeta (Sangeetha) who is on labor and she gives birth to twins and the doctor says that both children have reflection mentality, that means "if it pains to one other also hurts" depending on distance. Misro escapes and takes one of the twins with him, hurting Geeta. Chakravarthy goes behind him, but he could not find the child but shoots Misro. The child was taken by a lady who works as a daily labor with her husband. They have a daughter and one day in an accident at construction place were killed. The two children become orphans and they grew up, but the brother Deva (Nagarjuna) with his friend Kaasi another orphan (Brahmanandam) become thieves for earning. On the other hand, Geetha goes into coma and Chakravarthy takes her to America for the cure, where another twin Ravi Varma (also Nagarjuna) is brought up. He returns India as a rock start to give performances here. He is received by Giribabu (Chakravarthy's friend) who wishes to give his daughter Manga (Ramya Krishna) to him. But Ramya is in love with Deva. In the airport, he sees Ooha (Soundarya) daughter of Akkamanba (Annapurna) who is organizing his public performances and falls in love with her. Simhachalam (Srihari) who is Akkamanba's brother also wishes to marry Ooha. Meanwhile at home Manga advances with him thinking he is Deva only. One day in a restaurant they see each other and find that they are identical which leads to hilarious misunderstandings.

Baldev Sahay (Ravi Teja) is shown to be a corrupt yet valiant police officer working as an Assistant Commissioner of police in Kolkata. In an attempt to save a dreaded gangster named Ganguly (Sampath Raj), he loses his life and Ganguly is kidnapped by Baldev's allies Kundan (Ajay) and Rajeev (Subbaraju). The Home Minister Jayavardhan (Mukesh Rishi) is concerned about Ganguly being apprehended. Upon hearing the news of Baldev's death, his mother loses consciousness and is admitted to the hospital. Jayavardhan promises to the people that he will apprehend Ganguly bhai and offers his resignation if he is not successful doing the same. The media and the people comment on how an honest man like Jayvardhand had a really bad brother. (At this point in the direction of the movie, the viewer is made to believe that Baldev Sahay is the brother of Jayavardhan).

Sriram (Venkatesh) and Seeta (Soundarya) have no children even after three years of marriage life. Sriram comes to know through the doctor that his wife cannot bear children, he is not willing to hurt his wife's feelings, he takes the blame on himself. Sriram's father (Kota Srinivasa Rao) is very fond of children so he always blackmails Sriram to make the second marriage. While on a business tour to Nepal, he marries a Nepali girl Manisha (Vineetha) under some unavoidable circumstances. When he comes to know that she is carrying his child, Sriram arranges for her stay at his friend Giri's (Brahmanandam) house. Manisha delivers a boy and Sriram adopts him with his wife's consent who is not aware of the truth. After some years Sriram's father comes to know truth through Giri, he wants Sriram to get back Manisha and make a clean of things to Seeta. But Sriram who is apprehensive of his Seeta's reaction begs his father to keep the whole affair under wraps and he brings Manisha as a cook to his house. The story takes a turn to climax when Seeta is not happy with the goings on in the kitchen, she tries to get Manisha married off to someone else, then Sriram reveals the secret, Seeta also understands situations and circumstances and she happily welcomes Manisha into their lives. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note of two wives live happily with one husband.

The film begins with Jayanthi (Jayasudha) gives birth to baby boy Chinna (Master Prabhu) in jail. Since Jayanti is a life imprisonment prisoner, she keeps sentry Shantamma (Nirmalamma) as her son's guardian. Papa Rao (Kota Srinivasa Rao) maternal uncle to Jayanthi and his Hari (Srihari) always harasses Jayanti for her property. Krishna (Jagapathi Babu) a chronic bachelor, who hates women because his elder brother Krishna Mohan Rao (Raja) is killed by his lover. Radha (Soundarya) a young and beautiful girl falls in love with Krishna, but he rejects her love because of his hatred on women. Dasu (Ravi Teja) is the son of a counterfeit racketeer (Kota Srinivasa Rao). As his father goes to jail, Dasu becomes an orphan. He stops his education at 10th class and moves like a vagabond. On the other side, there is a smuggler who used to smuggle drugs and arms into the country. But an honest police officer (Prakash Raj) hatches a plan and sends one informer (Raja Ravindra) into their underworld. He stays with them for sometime and passes on information to the police, with the help of which the police were able to bust the smugglers team, though not the kingpin. The don's assistant, who was also a lawyer advises him to play the same trick and admit one of their henchmen into the police to get information from the reverse side. However, he should not be in police records but should be crooked and cunning. The smugglers team's search ends with Dasu. The group threatens Dasu and make him to play like a puppet in their hands. In order to push him inside the police department, he should at least pass tenth class. So, they admit him in a school, where he falls in love with a teacher Nakshatra (Ileana D'Cruz). However, she doesn't like him as he neither has good education nor good looks. After a few incidents, the don's right hand i.e., the lawyer tells Dasu to study well and become a police officer to win her love. Admitting the idea, Dasu turns a good student and gets through the exam. Later, he becomes a constable and gets posted in traffic. The smugglers unit hatches another plan and succeeds in pushing him in the crime police. After watching Dasu as a sincere police constable, Nakshatra too starts liking him. Soon, in a turn of events, Nakshatra's brother, who was a police informer, is killed in the hands of Dasu at the behest of the don. She chides Dasu and starts hating him. Dasu starts disliking his job as he became a police officer only to win her love. As he lost her love, Dasu turns against the don and finally kills him. Nakshatra learns from the lawyer that her brother actually died in the hands of the don, she reunites with Dasu and the film ends on a happy note.
