Add to a movie listAway All Boats is a 1956 American war film produced by Universal-International. It was directed by Joseph Pevney and produced by Howard Christie from a screenplay by Ted Sherdeman based on the 1953 novel by Kenneth M. Dodson.
Dodson (1907–1999) served on the USS Pierce (APA 50) in World War II and used his experiences there as a guide for his novel. He was encouraged in his writing by Carl Sandburg, who had read some of Dodson’s letters written from the Pacific.
The film stars Jeff Chandler, George Nader, Lex Barker, Julie Adams, Keith Andes, Charles McGraw, and Richard Boone.
Synopsis
C'est l'histoire de l'USS « Belinda », lancé en 1943 avec le commandant Hawks et le capitaine MacDougall, comme commandants de bord. Malgré des mésententes, les deux parviennent à réaliser leur voyage d'essai, et partent enfin au combat. Malgré une incompétence qui tend à s'améliorer, l'équipe demeure loin d'être parfaite quand ils passent à l'action en envoyant leurs Marines sur la tête de pont.Actors

Jerry Florea (Tony Curtis) is planning a heist. The story begins with the events which led a young Florea (Sal Mineo) to become a crook. The film begins with off-screen narration over black-and-white historical footage of the WWII Burmese campaign, including mention of all American allies who participated.
