The film is an official remake of the Hollywood film Knight and Day and features Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles performed by Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz respectively in the original. The main antagonist of the film is Danny Denzongpa. Despite getting mixed reviews, the film was declared a 'semi hit' by the Box Office.
The film was distributed and marketed by Fox Star Studios in collaboration with Fox International Productions worldwide.
Synopsis
The film opens in UK where Colonel Viren Nanda (Jimmy Shergill) goes to meet a wanted terrorist Omar Zafar (Danny Denzongpa) in his holding cell. As Viren informs Zaffar that he will be extradited back to India for his crimes, Zafar's men enter his holding cell, led by Hamid Gul (Jaaved Jaffrey), murdering all guards around them, with Zaffar then murdering Viren by shooting him and then burning him. As Zaffar escapes in a helicopter waiting on the roof, he puts a $5 million reward for someone to steal the Koh-i-Noor diamond from the Tower of London, but with one condition – the thief must be Indian, to hold up a new extradition treaty between India and UK. Soon after, a man named Rajveer Nanda (Hrithik Roshan) steals it, and when Zaffar's men are informed of the theft, they travel to Rajveer for the deal. Although they initially travel with the $5 million reward, Rajveer informs them that he now wants $20 million for the deal. Following the disdain of the comment made by Rajveer, a fight breaks out between Rajveer and Zaffar's men after which Rajveer flies away. After Rajveer escapes, a CCTV footage of him is captured, showing that he is in Shimla. Following Rajveer's escape, he sees Harleen (Katrina Kaif) sitting in a restaurant, who is there waiting for her internet date, "Vickie", to show up. Rajveer enters the restaurant posing as "Vickie" and woos her over. He convinces Harleen to use the bathroom and whilst she is in there, Rajveer fights the remaining men and leaves the restaurant, much to the dismay of Harleen. As she drives home, Harleen accidentally runs over Rajveer, who asks her to stitch up a gunshot wound sustained during the fight. Rajveer then gives Harleen drugged water, with her complying with what he says about the government officials, informing her about where to find guns underneath car seats and what they will say about him.Actors

Anjaana Anjaani is the story of Kiara (Priyanka Chopra) and Akash (Ranbir Kapoor). Kiara is based in San Francisco, while Akash is a New York City boy. Akash has to clear a loan of $12 million, which he is unable to partly due to the stock market crash. Unable to find any means, suicide seems the only option. He decides to jump off the George Washington Bridge. This is when he meets Kiara, who is also bound to commit suicide because she caught her fiancé Kunal (Zayed Khan) cheating on her. They both try to put an end to their lives but are deterred by the coastguards. Still keen on ending their lives, Akash deliberately gets hit by a car and Kiara falls on the bridge and breaks her neck. This proves to be yet another failed attempt and they end up in the hospital together. Kiara takes Akash to her house as his house was seized by the bank.

In the year 1990, Iqbal Haroon Khan (Jackie Shroff) runs The Great Indian Circus in Chicago, which has fallen on bad times. Anderson's (Andrew Bicknell) bank — Western Bank of Chicago —, which has lent money to Iqbal Khan, decides to close down the circus when Khan is unable to repay the loan. Young Sahir (Siddharth Nigam), the little son of Iqbal Khan, pleads with Anderson not to shut down his father's circus, as he and his father would soon be able to turn the corner. But Iqbal Khan's presentation before the bankers and Sahir's pleas don't help. Iqbal Khan commits suicide in front of the heartless Anderson, leaving Sahir devastated.

At the beginning of the film, Kabir (Abhay Deol) proposes to Natasha (Kalki Koechlin). Their families meet at the engagement party where Natasha learns that Kabir is planning a three-week bachelor road trip to Spain with his school friends Imraan (Farhan Akhtar) and Arjun (Hrithik Roshan). Kabir explains that the three have a long-standing pact, and that during the road trip, each of them will have to pick an adventure sport, which all three will try together. In festival it enters Raftaar Singh who is a fun-loving man who is un-educated. He has brought a running lion back. His naughtiness has kept his parents on worries. Raftaar soon gets kicked out of house and his father says that he will not come back until he completes his job. Raftaar gets 2 choices that either he will do job with his father's friend in Goa or marry Navjot's daughter Sweety. Raftaar chooses 1st choice after he thinks that Sweety is a fat girl that will give him huge problem. Sara Rana also enters in same style (riding on horse) who has lost her mother but hopes that she is alive, her father Mr. Rana took a wrong choice and worked as Mafia. Mark, a great mafia who wants to marry Sara is obstacled by her, even by Mark's father. Mark soon kills his own father and hunts for Sara but she escaped to Goa. Raftaar meets his boss Kripal Singh who is his father's friend then he successfully gets a job but gets a problem is that he doesn't know English language. Raftaar makes excuse that he knows English when he was in fear that he could be fired. Raftaar and his friends meets Sara in airport. Raftaar meets and befriends Emily as she knows English language. Sara meets Raftaar's boss and feels safe but thinks that Raftaar is a bad guy. In a time Raftaar accepts his mistake that he once made it and his boss felt proud. Sara soon finds out that Raftaar is a good guy when she sees him helping the women whom the bad guys were flirting with them. The same goons who were in search of Raftar gets beaten by Sara. Emily feels shocked on seeing her that she knows how to fight. Raftaar's friends and Sara gets kidnapped soon by same goons. Raftaar tries to save them, in this process Raftaar was able to beat some goons but unfortunately gets badly beaten, Sara later helps them and beats all goons. She then feels happy and proud of his goodness and starts liking him. Raftaar's boss feels finally happy with his job that has done well and he becomes best businessman. When Mark learns that Sara is in Goa he sends his men to bring her back. His mens breach and try to catch her but she escapes with Raftaar in car but unfortunately gets hitten. Raftaar gets beaten but later beats them all except a woman who is soon beaten by Sara. Raftaar decides to take Sara to his home according to his boss' advice. Sara goes in Punjab with Raftaar and meets his parents. She remembers her childhood by seeing Raftaar and her mother chatting together orally. Sara feels happy after staying with Raftaar in Punjab for few days. Raftaar's father tells about Raftaar's goodness and asks Sara that what is connection between them, she finally reveals that she is in love with Raftaar. Emily also had earlier handed responsibility to Raftaar to find Sara's lost mother. She tells the final location and Raftaar returns to Goa with Sara. Sara gets to old house where she lived and watches the vision as a flashback of her childhood but heartbrokenly thinks that she won't find her mother anymore. Sara decides to go back to Romania and she would never return, Raftaar feels heartbroken seeing her leaving after failing to tell Sara his feeling as he was in love with her. When Sara returns to Romania, she receives a news that her father was shot when he refused to get her married with Mark. She meets his father who is alive admitted in hospital. Raftaar successfully finds Sara's mother and brings her in Romania, she reunites with her husband and her daughter Sara. Sara then finally and happily confessed her love with Raftaar. Raftaar feels happy and decides to marry Sara. He tells his mother about same things and purchases cake,flower bouquet and new clothes and goes to church but feels angry when he sees Sara in initial marriage with Mark. Sara refuses to marry when she sees Raftaar. Mark challenges Raftaar for a fight, Raftaar accepts it and fights him and his men outside the church, Raftaar managed to beat all Mark's men but unfortunately get shot unconscious. Sara feels worried that Raftaar will die but soon he wakes up after remembers the lessons taught by his father's words and fights with Mark. They all are thrown in air in which it results Mark died after saying "You're too good,Sardaar (Chieftain)" and Raftaar is alive byt hanging in a side of bridge, Sara confesses her love with Raftaar again happily and vice versa. Raftaar finally gets pulled back to the bridge and returns to Punjab and celebrates his happiness with his friends, father and Sara. This film ends with a song "Singh and Kaur" in which Raftaar and Sara Rana danced.
