Synopsis

Le téléfilm relate l'affrontement de deux familles nord américaines, qui, au moment des fêtes de fin d'année, décident de gagner le prix de la meilleure décoration de leur maison. C'est une débauche de décoration, avec des rennes sur le toit et des lumières par centaines. On apprend pendant le téléfilm que les deux maris se connaissent depuis leur enfance et que c'est en fait un règlement de comptes à la suite d'une dispute d'adolescents.

The movie takes place in 1946, six years after the events in the first movie which took place in 1940, showing Ralphie as a teenager, almost 16, who only wants a used 1939 Mercury convertible for Christmas. One year after the events of the first film, and the night before their flight to Miami for Christmas, the McCallister family gathers at the Winnetka, Illinois home of Peter and Kate McCallister. In New York, Kevin tours the city and convinces the staff at the Plaza Hotel into giving him a room using Peter's credit card. During a visit to Central Park, Kevin is scared by the appearance of a homeless woman tending to pigeons.
