The first animated feature to feature an entirely African-American main cast, the film is based upon comedian Robin Harris' "Bébé's Kids" stand-up comedy act. It features the voices of Faizon Love (in his film debut), Vanessa Bell Calloway, Marques Houston, Nell Carter, and Tone Lōc. Tom Everett, Rich Little, and Louie Anderson also lend their voices.

Team America: World Police, a paramilitary anti-terrorism force, has a home base located inside Mount Rushmore. The team comprises Lisa, a psychologist; Carson, her love interest; Sarah, an alleged psychic; Joe, a jock who is in love with Sarah; and Chris, a martial arts expert who harbors a deep mistrust of actors. The team is led by Spottswoode and a supercomputer named I.N.T.E.L.L.I.G.E.N.C.E.. Having tracked down a group of terrorists in Paris, France, the team inadvertently destroys the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre during a huge gun battle, causing more destruction than the terrorists could have ever dreamed of. The team, however, regard this as a success. Carson proposes to Lisa, but a surviving terrorist guns him down. As a replacement, Spottswoode recruits Gary Johnston, a Broadway actor with college majors in Theater and World Languages. Unbeknownst to the team, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il is supplying international terrorists with weapons of mass destruction.

In October 1957, after the Russian satellite Sputnik is put into orbit, an enormous robot from outer space crashes into the ocean near Rockwell, Maine. The robot makes it inland and wanders into the forest. Nine-year-old Hogarth Hughes soon discovers the robot one night. The robot begins eating the powerlines of an electrical substation, then gets electrocuted. Hogarth shuts down the power, saving the robot, and returns home. Several days later, Hogarth makes it his mission to find the robot and take a picture. After hours of waiting, the robot surprises Hogarth, who soon befriends him. Suffering amnesia, the Iron Giant accompanies Hogarth wherever he goes. When they come across a railroad, the Giant starts eating the rails. Hearing an oncoming train, Hogarth tells the Giant to repair the tracks. As he does, the train collides, breaking him to pieces. The Giant's parts start to reassemble, and Hogarth hides the damaged robot in his house's barn, where the parts can repair themselves.

Ami's First Love Japanese theaters showed a trailer before the Sailor Moon Super S film: a 16-minute short named Ami's First Love (Ami-chan no Hatsukoi), in which Ami Mizuno (Sailor Mercury) struggles to focus on her studying amidst various distractions including a pruritus-inducing love letter found in her school locker and a rival known as "Mercurius" who ties Ami's perfect score in mock high school entrance exams, and who Ami believes is either a female monster that makes her forget math and English or a handsome boy who looks like a young Albert Einstein. The short featured a new transformation sequence ("Mercury Crystal Power Make Up!") and special power ("Mercury Aqua Mirage") for Sailor Mercury. After the spectacular defeat of a fresh centurion, Caesar sends the patrician Lucullus to capture Getafix and throw him off the edge of the world. In Gaul, Unhygienix lacks fresh fish (as always), which starts a fight, spilling Getafix's magic potion. Because fresh fish is a vital ingredient thereof, Asterix and Obelix go fishing while Getafix gathers herbs, accompanied by Dogmatix. In the forest, Getafix and Dogmatix are captured by Lucullus. Aboard a Roman galley bound for the "world's edge", they pass Asterix and Obelix, who pursue them, using Obelix as an outboard motor until he is diverted by the aroma of food from a passing pirate ship, and then blown off course by a violent storm. After a long pursuit, a dolphin brings Dogmatix (whom Lucullus had dropped overboard) and guides them to the Romans. Seeing the Gauls and mistaking the North American coast for the world's edge, the Romans launch Getafix from a catapult, then return to Rome, while Asterix and Obelix make landfall. In Gaul, Caesar lays siege to their village and waits for the last of the magic potion to run out.

The story begins September 1941 just before the attack on Pearl Harbor. Shy bookkeeper Henry Limpet loves fish with a passion. When his friend George Stickle enlists in the United States Navy, Limpet attempts to enlist as well, but is rejected.
