The film garnered negative to mixed reviews upon its release but was a success at the boxoffice.
Synopsis
Ajit Talwar (Kay Kay Menon) is a business tycoon. The movie starts with an interview of Ajit Talwar in a News Channel. Ajit Talwar has a broad business unit. Ajit Talwar is married to Naina Talwar (Rukshar) but still Ajit Talwar is a womanizer who has an affair with his secretary played by Spanta Patel (Kishwar Merchant). Ajit Talwar has a friend Kapoor (Rahul Vohra) whose wife Raveena (Aditi Govitrikar) runs a TV channel. Kapoor invites Ajit to the final episode of Aao Guess Karein, a TV Reality show aired on Kapoor's TV channel. The finalist of the show is the protagonist Bharat Bhushan (Vinay Pathak), who wins ₹ 25 Lakh and a chance to journey in a luxurious Cruise. The Executive Producer of the show Ranjini (Minissha Lamba) asks Bharat Bhushan, how would he utilise the prize money. Bhushan says by producing a music album.Actors

Via Darjeeling is the story of a honeymooning couple Ankur (Kay Kay Menon) and Rimli (Sonali Kulkarni) who are very much in love. Maj. Siddhant Chaudhary (Rahul Bose) and Maj. Akash Kapoor (Javed Jaffrey) are lawyers in the Indian army and are close friends. They are on opposite sides of a case where a soldier kills his commanding officer. The accused is mysteriously silent and not willing to talk about the incident. Siddhant, who is the defense counsel, is apathetic at first but starts taking a keen interest in the case after meeting Kavya (Minissha Lamba), a journalist who demonstrates that the case is not as simple as it seems. The underlying theme in the movie is Siddhant's gradual understanding of what Shaurya means (his father was himself a decorated army veteran), and the resulting conflict with Brigadier Rudra Pratap Singh (Kay Kay Menon) In the End, It is revealed that Maj. Rathod, while conducting a Search operation in a village, roughed up and killed a villager, and threatened a little girl. Enraged and fearing for the girl Capt. Javed shot him and eventually the movie ends up with a climax.

The film starts out on a rainy night with a conversation between four cops in a police van, patrolling the streets of Mumbai. A car narrowly misses colliding into them on the road, brakes and then continues on towards a house with iron gates. A man in a jacket gets out from the car, heads towards the garage and opens the roller shutter door when he is shot from behind multiple times. In the same time the cops in the van receive an alert on the radio that gunshots have been heard somewhere in the vicinity and they ask the driver to head towards the location of the gunshots.

A crooked businessman Mohanlal Sabbarwahl (Ravi Kissen) swindles people of their hard-earned money and frames an honest bank officer, Mr. Baweja, and his assistant Zaira.
