Bombay to Goa is a 1972 Bollywood adventure-comedy film directed by S. Ramanathan and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Aruna Irani in lead roles , Shatrughan Sinha as the main antagonist and Mehmood. The movie is known particularly for its catchy tunes.
The film is a remake of a 1966 hit Tamil film Madras to Pondicherry. It was a 'Semi-Hit' at the box office.

Bharathi plays an deserted wife to (Vinod Mehra). She abandons her newly born son outside of a temple where he is rescued by a rikshawala (Mehmood). The boy develops polio and the rikshawala feels guilty after a doctor (Sanjeev Kumar) admonishes him. He takes care of the boy and loves him as his own. In the mean time, the boy's real-life parents reconcile and turn to a police officer (Vinod Khanna) for help in finding their missing son. when they find their child the rikshawala does not want to give him up. The policeman urges him to do, as the wealthy parents can pay for an operation that can help the boy walk again. He does sorrowfully. But the boy comes back with his parents to see the rikshawala die. The film ends with Mehmood, the actor, getting up and explaining to the audience that his death was for the camera, but polio is real and deadly and that people should get their children vaccinated.

Piku Banerjee (Deepika Padukone) is a Bengali architect residing in Delhi, along with her 70-year-old father, Bhashkor (Amitabh Bachchan). Bhashkor has problems with chronic constipation and traces every problem's root to his bowel movements. His habits often lead to quarrels with the servants, and also irritates Chhobi Mashi (Moushumi Chatterjee), who often visits them. Scott (Desi Arnaz, Jr.) and the couple John (Robert Carradine) and Suzie (Melanie Griffith) leave their jobs in California, and take their car on a ferry to Alaska with some saved money and dreams of making an easy fortune salmon fishing. Eddie Devane (William McNamara) is a young Seaman Apprentice who has carried out a number of inventory-related scams along with his partner-in-crime Howard (Crispin Glover) and made a lot of money during his service. A day before his discharge, Eddie is assigned to escort a prisoner from the marine base at Camp Lejeune along with the authoritarian, no-nonsense Chief Petty Officer Rock Reilly (Tom Berenger). Eddie is of course not pleased with this development. When Howard sees a grumpy-looking Eddie being escorted from his superior's office by a couple of other seaman, he thinks Eddie has been found out and arrested for his scams. In order to destroy evidence, he goes to Eddie's desk and finds the money, the existence of which Eddie had concealed from him.

The Great Leslie (Tony Curtis) and Professor Fate (Jack Lemmon) are competing daredevils at the turn of the 20th century.
