The film is the directorial debut for Sophon Sakdapisit, who was the co-writer of the films Shutter (2004) and Alone (2007).
Synopsis
Shane (Chantavit Dhanasevi) is a debt ridden theater projectionist who has promised to bootleg a much-hyped upcoming Thai horror film that concerns the vengeful spirit of a crazed village woman who was hanged after she had been discovered abducting and blinding children. After the disappearance of his friend who was taping the movie in the theater with his DV-cam, Shane recovers the DV-cam and sees footage of his friend cowering in fright at something he had seen. When Shane runs the horror movie for himself at the theater again, he is shocked to see his friend inside the movie with his eyes gouged out. The next day as the movie theatre staff look for the missing bootleg, Shane encounters Shomba (Oraphan Arjsamat) the evil spirit depicted in the movie in several places. Eventually, he finds out the terrible secret behind the haunted movie.Actors

Thee, a struggling 40-year-old marketing officer, moves from Bangkok to Laddaland, an upmarket housing estate located in Chiang Mai, bringing along his wife, Parn, his rebellious teenage daughter, Nan, and lively young son, Nat. Thee is certain that the move is the best option to answer all of his financial problems relating to the company he works for, which sells dietary supplements, despite his wife's concern over the hefty mortgage payments required to purchase the new house. Nan is unimpressed despite Thee's best efforts to make good of the situation and wishes to return back to her grandmother.

In 1889, the site that would become Perfection Valley is home to the town of Rejection Valley. The inhabitants are completely dependent on the income from a nearby silver mine, when a hot spring causes Graboid eggs to hatch, resulting in the death of 17 miners. The mine's owner is Hiram Gummer, great-grandfather of Burt Gummer (Michael Gross). Hiram is a direct opposite of his descendant: he is a cold, lofty, well-mannered businessman with no experience in weapons or in any physical activity whatsoever (except bicycle riding, which quickly proves useless on the harsh terrain). He arrives in town to fix the problem, but finds he is in way over his head dealing with the larvae-like Graboids, which the town has dubbed "Dirt Dragons", when they attack his camp one night. One of his companions, Juan, kills one with a pick-axe, and the group barely gets away.

A team of anti-guerilla commandos led by an experienced sergeant and commanded by a green lieutenant are sent to secure the approach to a mountain base amid towering radio masts. When they are in position they are told to wait for their backup which has been delayed by enemy action en route. One of the soldiers, Arango, is impatient to get into the base and after arguing with the lieutenant, makes a dash up the stairs to the base. The radio operator, Parra, tries to stop him, but steps on a mine which shatters his leg and destroys the primary radio. The sergeant insists they must now enter the base to use the medical facilities.
