Dinosaur from the Deep is a 1994 French science-fiction Z movie directed by Norbert Moutier and stars Jean Rollin, Tina Aumont and Sylvaine Charlet. The film, produced to capitalize on the success of Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park, was filmed with a minuscule budget and has become notorious for its poor special effects.
Synopsis
In 2004, not knowing how to run an abominable criminal recidivist while the death penalty has been abolished, FBI experts and lawyers condemned the imagine embarking on a journey through time To a time when the sentence still applied. For financial reasons, this expedition is coupled with a scientific mission on the planet Terra and charge of tracing the first dinosaurs. The story picks up about a month after the dramatic finale of the previous film and follows the further adventures of filmmaker Carl Denham, now implicated in numerous lawsuits following the destruction wrought by Kong. Denham leaves New York with the captain of the Venture, Captain Englehorn, who is certain it is just a matter of time before he is similarly served. Their efforts to make money shipping cargo around the Orient are less than successful. In the Dutch port of Dakang, Denham is amused to see there's a "show" being presented, so he and Englehorn attend. It turns out to be a series of performing monkeys, capped by a song ("Runaway Blues") sung by a young woman named Hilda.

Mr. Tako, head of Pacific Pharmaceuticals, is frustrated with the television shows his company is sponsoring and wants something to boost his ratings. When a doctor tells Tako about a giant monster he discovered on the small Faro Island, Tako believes that it would be a brilliant idea to use the monster to gain publicity. Tako immediately sends two men, Sakurai and Kinsaburo, to find and bring back the monster. Meanwhile, the American submarine Seahawk gets caught in an iceberg. The iceberg collapses, unleashing Godzilla (who, in the Japanese version, had been trapped within since 1955), who then destroys the submarine and a nearby military base.

A North African dinosaur, related to the crocodile, is found which could grow up to fifty feet long. Dr. Campbell (Bruce Weitz) uses its DNA to create two hybrids of it with a modern-day crocodile at Paula Kennedy's Genetic Research Co. (Gereco) lab. One creature kills Dr. Campbell's assistant and the other creature before escaping. This information is kept from Sheriff Harper (Napier) by Kennedy, stating the dead creature killed Campbell's assistant. His daughter, county dog catcher Diane Harper, helps her ex welding artist, Tom Banning, and his 12-year-old brother Michael (Jake Thomas) find their three legged dog, Lucky, who was lost a few days earlier.

The premise of the film opens with Tammy at cheerleader practice, while her boyfriend Michael walks in from football practice to observe. The two of them meet Byron, Tammys homosexual friend, who approves of Michael as her new boyfriend. Shortly thereafter, Tammy's violent and jealous ex-boyfriend Billy arrives with his gang and harass Michael. A violent fight erupts between Billy and Michael, with Billy gaining the upper hand by grabbing Michael by his testicles and not letting go. Michael retaliates by grabbing Billy by his testicles in the same fashion. The police arrive to break up the fight and get the two boys to release the grip on one another, with Billy clearly in pain, but Michael unfazed due to his wearing a protective cup. The police take Billy into custody, but Tammy, unable to deal with the events, breaks down and runs away in tears.

In 1992, journalist Kenichiro Terasawa (Kosuke Toyohara) is writing a book about Godzilla and learns about a group of Japanese soldiers stationed on Lagos Island in the South Pacific during World War II. They were unintentionally saved from a group of American soldiers by a mysterious dinosaur known as "Godzillasaurus" in February 1944. A small family relocates to the Sonoran Desert, to be closer to the grandparents of the family. Pompous paleontologist Rick Marshall has a low-level job at the La Brea Tar Pits, three years after a disastrous interview with Matt Lauer of Today became a viral video and ruined his career. Doctoral candidate student Holly Cantrell tells him that his controversial theories combining time warps and paleontology inspired her. She shows him a fossil with an imprint of a cigarette lighter that he recognizes as his own along with a crystal made into a necklace that gives off strong tachyon energy. She convinces him to finish his tachyon amplifier and come help her on a seemingly routine expedition to the cave where Holly found the fossil, which is in the middle of nowhere. With cave gift shop owner Will Stanton they raft into the cave, where Marshall has detected high levels of tachyons. He activates the tachyon amplifier, triggering an earthquake that opens a time warp into which the raft falls. The group finds themselves in a desert, filled with various items from many eras, and without the amplifier. They rescue a primate-like creature, Cha-Ka of the Pakuni tribe, who becomes their friend and guide.

Young urban professionals Jesse (Arye Gross) and his girlfriend Kate (Lar Park Lincoln) move into an old mansion that has been in Jesse's family for generations.
