Doctor in Trouble is a 1970 British comedy film, the seventh and last film in the Doctor series. It was directed by Ralph Thomas and stars Leslie Phillips as a doctor who gets accidentally trapped on an outgoing cruise ship while it begins a round the world trip. The cast was rounded out by a number of British comedy actors including James Robertson Justice, Harry Secombe and Angela Scoular. It was based on the story Doctor on Toast by Richard Gordon.
Synopsis
Renowned surgeon Sir Lancelot Sprat (James Robertson Justice) arranges a cruise for his patient, the famous television star Basil Beauchamp (Simon Dee). The captain of the ship is Lancelot Spratt's brother (Robert Morley).Actors

Morgan Delt (David Warner) is a failed artist and son of communist parents who own a fish and chips shop in downmarket London. His upper-class wife, Leonie (Vanessa Redgrave), has given up on him and has just secured a divorce in order to marry Charles Napier (Robert Stephens), an art gallery owner of her own social standing. Frankie's loss of hearing is first apparent when he hears a high-pitched whine instead of an Arsenal football match on TV. At this time, Frankie is making his next album with his "two Austrian mates" Alfonse and Horst, who seem more suited for a rock band. Frankie continues working on his album and playing gigs at clubs, but his hearing degrades rapidly. As a result, progress on his album stagnates. However, Frankie refuses to acknowledge his problem until a gig in Amnesia, when he cannot hear the second channel in his headphones and must crossfade one song into the next without being able to beatmatch them. The result sounds terrible, and the crowd boos him. Overcome with fear and frustration, he throws the turntable and the mixer onto the dance floor, and is forcibly removed from the club.

After his best friend Mike dies of a drug overdose, San Fernando Valley businessman Jack Magnus spirals into depression and drug addiction, losing his job, getting a severe infection on his left arm, and becoming homeless, forcing him to live in the warehouse where he works as a security guard. One night, a pair of dealers Jack owes money to break into the warehouse, and decide that since Jack does not have any money, to rob the building, and kill Jack by injecting him with a mixture of PCP, heroin, and crystal meth. Instead of killing Jack, the cocktail of drugs causes him to have a psychotic break, and drilled by paranoid delusions and a hallucination of Mike, he kills the dealers with an electrical jackhammer that was among the tools in the warehouse machine shop.
