The full-length directorial debut of Pat Mills, the film stars Mills as David Gold, a down on his luck former child star who fabricates his credentials to take a job as a high school guidance counsellor. An unrecovered alcoholic and drug addict troubled by his faded success and in deep denial about both his closeted gay sexuality and his health following a skin cancer diagnosis, he becomes unexpectedly popular with the students after his habit of introducing them to his own deeply unhealthy coping mechanisms actually helps many of them solve their own problems.
The film's cast also includes Kevin Hanchard, Alex Ozerov, Jen Goodhue, Maria Vacratsis, Eleanor Zichy and Allison Hossack. It has been picked up by Strand Releasing for distribution in the United States.

When young Glaswegian cook Nina Shah (Shelley Conn) returns home for her father's funeral after three estranged years in London, England, she begins a romantic relationship with Lisa (Laura Fraser), an old childhood friend who now owns half the late father's Indian restaurant, The New Taj. Emma and Marc, two young lovers, move into a house which has been uninhabited for thirty years. The film is divided into two separate, unequal stories. Martha (Natasha Lyonne) is an overly optimistic housekeeper working at a local hotel in Fresno, California. Her sister Shannon (Judy Greer) is a sex addict that was recently forced to go into rehab after her addiction caused her to lose her job. As she now needs gainful employment, Shannon allows Martha to talk her into working at the hotel as well. However soon after she begins work Shannon accidentally kills one of the hotel's guests and convinces Martha to help her dispose of the body. This is easier said than done, as their attempts result in pet cemetery owners Ruby (Allison Tolman) and Gerald (Fred Armisen) blackmailing them for hush money. Without any other options, Martha and Shannon must now commit a series of robberies to come up with the money.
