Heidi originally aired on July 18 and 19, 1993. and stars Noley Thorton in the title role.
Synopsis
At the beginning of part one of the miniseries, Heidi is being raised by her cousin Dete in Switzerland following the death of her parents. Dete soon becomes selfish and unwilling to incur the costs of raising Heidi. Dete decides to take Heidi to live in the Alps with her grandfather. Her grandfather is still distraught over the death of his son, whom he had fought with shortly before his passing. This leads him to initially resent Heidi’s presence. However, as the story progresses, Heidi’s innocence and charm break through her grandfather’s tough exterior. She also makes friends with a young goat herder named Peter.Actors

When a flying saucer lands in Washington, D.C., the U. S. Army quickly encircles the spaceship. A humanoid (Michael Rennie) emerges, announcing that he has come in peace. As he advances, he unexpectedly opens a small cylindrical device and is shot by a nervous soldier who thinks it's a weapon. A tall robot emerges from the saucer and quickly disintegrates the army's deployed weapons with an energy ray. The alien orders the robot, Gort, to stop. He explains that the broken device was a gift for the President, which would have enabled him "to study life on the other planets".

Kayley dreams of becoming a knight like her father Lionel, who journeys to Camelot to meet with King Arthur as a knight of the Round Table. The story is set in Kansas in 1910.
