Martoche who represented the real life Buffalo, New York, victim's suit to recover contact with his children estranged by the culpability of the new husband and government.
Synopsis
The Buffalo divorced father Thomas Hacklin discovers, on visiting his children, that his ex-wife's residence has been abandoned; he is unable to locate or contact them. He is mystified after approaching the authorities who refuse to assist but speculates when he becomes aware that her new husband is now in the United States Federal Witness Protection Program. As he makes inroads into finding their location, the police and authorities make it more difficult for him to make contact. He becomes determined -- even without police and government assistance and interference -- when the government advised the low-tier mobster new husband to marry his girlfriend in order to disqualify her from testifying against him if the government arrests him and follows through with a court trial for his activities involving crime. The Mob follows Hacklin's actions for their own purposes.Actors

Arthur Bach (Dudley Moore) is a spoiled alcoholic from New York City who likes to be driven in his chauffeured Rolls-Royce through Central Park. The ESU Timberwolves are entering a season with high expectations after two disappointing seasons. The film begins with a loss to end the prior season, along with the school president putting pressure on Sam Winters (Caan) to win this coming season or face a possible firing. Sophomore quarterback Joe Kane (Sheffer) spends the Christmas bowl season with his alcoholic father and brother, while junior NFL prospect Alvin Mack (Duane Davis) gives his mother an engraved door knocker as a present to go with the new house she will soon have when he turns pro. The film then follows the recruiting of Darnell Jefferson (Epps), a highly rated running back, and his eventual commitment to ESU. During the recruiting phase, Jefferson is given a tour of the campus by Autumn (Berry), a beautiful young student, and the two bond immediately, sharing a kiss before they part ways.
