Ce film à petit budget, sorti en décembre 2017, remporte plusieurs récompenses aux Golden globes et aux Oscars, en particulier avec des prix pour Margot Robbie, l'actrice principale, et Allison Janney, second rôle féminin.
Synopsis
Dans les années 1970 à Portland, Tonya Harding, quatre ans, se met au patinage artistique sous la pression de sa mère violente, LaVona Golden. Ses parents lui font rapidement arrêter l'école pour qu'elle s'entraîne à plein temps sous la houlette de Diane Rawlinson. Tonya Harding devient rapidement une des meilleures patineuses artistiques des États-Unis. Cependant, sa personnalité agressive, ses costumes de piètre qualité et les musiques populaires sur lesquelles elle patine l'empêchent d'atteindre le sommet. À 15 ans, elle rencontre Jeff Gilloly et lorsqu'il se marient, il devient rapidement violent. Ils finissent alors par se séparer.Actors

J. B. Bernstein (Jon Hamm) is a big time sports agent who, along with his partner Ash Vasudevan (Aasif Mandvi) recently formed their own company. Unfortunately, all of J.B.'s clients have retired, and he is unable to reel in star football player Popo Vanuatu (Rey Maualuga). Desperate to find new clients, J.B. realizes India, with over one billion people, has real potential for untapped baseball talent. He approaches investor Mr. Chang with his proposal - a talent contest staged in India called "Million Dollar Arm." Contestants score points by demonstrating they can pitch a baseball with speed and accuracy. Along with the prize money, two winners will be flown to the U.S. and receive coaching to become legitimate baseball prospects within two years. Chang commits to providing the funding, on the condition the prospects are ready within only one year. With no alternative, J.B. reluctantly assures Chang the winners will be ready for a major league try-out within one year.

At the 2002 World Winter Sport Games, rival men's singles skaters Chazz Michael Michaels (Will Ferrell), a skillful skater but raunchy sex addict, and Jimmy MacElroy (Jon Heder), an equally talented but sheltered and effeminate skater, tie for gold. Lars Lindstrom (Gosling) lives in the converted garage behind the house he and his brother Gus (Schneider) inherited from their late father. Karin (Mortimer) is Lars's pregnant sister-in-law. Jackie Dorsey, the daughter of Olympic Gold medalists Doug Dorsey and Kate Moseley from the original film, also enters the figure skating field, with ambitions of winning her own Olympic gold. However, a serious injury derails that ambition. After months of training, Jackie is finally ready to skate again but has trouble keeping up with the rigorous demands of singles skating. Her parents send her on a vacation to L.A., where she meets surfer boy/in-line skater Alex Harrison. Sparks fly between the two, but when Alex discovers who Jackie is, he rejects her. In the meantime, Jackie realizes that, considering the circumstances, pairs skating will give her a better chance at Olympic gold. After many unsuccessful interviews with prospective partners, she becomes frustrated. Then, after Alex Harrison sees Jackie on TV, discussing her search for a partner, he shows up for an interview. Even though Alex has no experience and has trained for only a short time, he shows remarkable natural talent.
