Synopsis
Two long-term prisoners manage to break out of jail by tunneling underneath the prison wall with a spoon. Upon returning back to society, they read in the newspaper that they are scheduled to be pardoned under a special amnesty on the very next day. The desperate warden agrees to pretend nothing happened if they can break back into prison unnoticed.Actors

Having robbed and thoroughly destroyed a gas station in the first five minutes of the film, a group of street thugs with their own gripes against society sit in a convenience store and out of sheer boredom, decide to rob the same gas station (as the title card reads, "Why do they attack the gas station? Just because!"). But, since the manager had the foresight to stash the money away, the four gang members take the manager and the employees hostage and then start dispensing gas to all the customers and keeping the money.

Pil-gi (Cha Seung-won) has finally saved enough money to make his late father's wish come true: He can buy his own house. However, upon moving in to his new residence, he is bothered by one if its previous residents, a poltergeist, who claims the house belongs to it and attempts to scare him out. Pil-gi will not give up on his dream so easily, though. He calls the police, invites friends to stay for the night, and tries exorcism rituals. None of it works. During one attack by the poltergeist he is struck by lightning and awakes in a hospital. He eventually decides it would be best to sell the house, but upon returning he discovers that he can see the ghost who has been haunting him. She reveals that her name is Yeon-hwa (Jang Seo-hee), and, now less frightened, Pil-gi talks to her and he decides to stay. However, an investor looking to build a new hotel on the site makes Pil-gi an offer to buy the house. Now it is Yeon-hwa's turn to be afraid. She begs him not to sell the house and tells him her life story. Pil-gi vows to help her keep her house.

Kim Sun-ho is a horn player for the Mansoodae Art Company, Pyongyang's state orchestra. He comes from a well-to-do family in North Korea and is about to marry his sweetheart, War Memorial guide Lee Yeon-hwa. One day, Sun-ho's family receives a letter from his grandfather in Seoul, whom they had thought was dead. Cho Chun-sam and Noh Dae-gyu, now both in their thirties, are old friends who went to the same elementary school.
