Kannadadda Kiran Bedi (alternatively spelled as Kannadada Kiran Bedi) is a 2009 Kannada action drama film starring Malashri in the lead role with Srinivasa Murthy, Rangayana Raghu and Ashish Vidyarthi in pivotal roles. The film released on 27 March to mixed reviews. The film recorded as Hit at the box-office. The film has also been dubbed into Hindi as Mumbai Ki Kiran Bedi, in Telugu as Andhra Kiran Bedi and in Malayalam as Kerala KiranBedi.

Synopsis

A police constable, Venkatappa (Srinivasa Murthy) meets Bellary Bhagyalakshmi (Malashri), a fraud and tells her his daughter, Kiran Bedi's (Malashri) story. Kiran was a police officer in Bangalore and resembled Bellary. There is a crime nexus run by Bhoopathy (Ashish Vidyarthi), his partners Naga (Kote), Mobile Nachappa (Rangayana Raghu), D'Souza and Muni in Bangalore. Bhoopathy's daughter Vicky murders a young civil service student, Shweta. Bhoopathy hides Vicky in Bhadramma's (Telangana Shakuntala) house. Kiran finds Vicky and kills him and Bhadramma. Bhoopathy, in a fit of rage, manages to kill Kiran. Venkatappa now requests Bellary to become Kiran Bedi and finish Bhoopathy and his associates. Bellary accepts after listening to the story and getting money for it. Bellary targets the whole nexus of Bhoopathy and slowly starts taking them down. But soon Bellary's identity is revealed in the court. Full of remorse, she enters civil services and becomes a real police officer finishing Bhoopathy.

Gowri Shankar (Jagapathi Babu) is a circle inspector of Punjagutta and is known as a heavy corrupt police officer. Rangarao (Jeeva) is his assistant and his daughter Sindhu (Vimala Raman) is an aerobics, teacher. Once, two sons of a big industrialist (Prasad Babu) kill two girls for not accepting their love by pouring acid on them. Soon, the two get killed by some unidentified person in the same fashion. The industrialist uses his political influence and gets the case investigated by the CB-CID. The police commissioner (Chalapathi Rao) calls Gowri and tells him to hand over all the evidence to the CB-CID officer (Murali Sharma). Even as the CID officer is investigating, another two persons get murdered in the same fashion. The CID officer makes an in-depth study into the case and finally comes to the conclusion that it is Gowri, who is behind these murders. At this juncture, Gowri leaves for Mumbai and kills some gangsters who were kidnapping and selling young girls and exporting them to other countries. After he kills all the gangsters, the Mumbai police arrest him and keeps him in a jail, where an international terrorist Kasab from Pakistan was placed. The CBI officer gets a doubt and warns the jailer that Gowri intentionally surrendered to the police as he wanted to kill Kasab. What happens next should be seen on-screen.

The film opens with a lady coming to India from Malaysia . She takes a taxi and wants to go to Brahma's place. The driver then starts telling her about Brahma's life. The movie goes into a flashback. Now we see that Brahma is a Don. Brahma goes to loot his house. There Brahma is living with a new name, Upendra. He works in his father's house. Then we see some comedies of Sadhu(Sadhu Kokila), who is the leader of the servants in the house. Then Pranitha and Lucky man comes in that house. One day Brahma is caught by ACP Shinde in that house. Then Brahma's grandfather reveals their past. In 1600 BC A warrior named Brahma (Upendra again) is very kind to poor. He gives all his wealth to the poor. But in 1950, their family becomes very poor. Then Veer Brahma says that he will take all the wealth his grandfather gave to others. Then Bramha is taken to court and he is sentenced to 2 years in jail. There, his father apologizes to him. After two years, Bramha is now the chief minister of Karnataka. The Lady came to kill Brahma but she did not succeed in killing him. She is the wife of Rahul Dev. The movie ends with Upendra saying, "Jo janta ko chodkar dourta hai woh leader nehi ho ta, Jo janta ko sath lekar dourta hai wahi ho ta hai leader." In English, this means, "Which man runs without the public he is not a leader, but he who runs with the public he is the leader.
