Kansas City Princess is a 1934 American film starring Joan Blondell and Glenda Farrell.

The two were informally teamed in four Warner Brothers comedies in the early 1930s, as wisecracking, fast-talking, practical-minded working-class girls hunting for husbands. In this entry, they play manicurists from Kansas City. Rosie (Blondell) loses an expensive ring that her gangster boyfriend gave her, so they flee to Paris. The other three films in which Blondell and Farrell co-starred were Havana Widows, We're in the Money, and Miss Pacific Fleet. (They also both appeared, but are not teamed, in Gold Diggers of 1937, I've Got Your Number, and Traveling Saleslady.)

During a cross-country lecture tour, notoriously acerbic radio personality Sheridan Whiteside (Monty Woolley) slips on the icy steps of the house of the Stanleys (Grant Mitchell and Billie Burke), a prominent Ohio family, and insists on recuperating in their home during the Christmas holidays. The overbearing, self-centered celebrity soon comes to dominate the lives of the residents and everyone else who enters the household. Ginger Stewart (Joan Blondell) and Dixie Tilton (Glenda Farrell) are offered $1000 by ditsy lawyer Homer Bronson (Hugh Herbert) to serve subpoenas on reluctant witnesses for a breach of promise lawsuit brought by Claire LeClaire (Anita Kerry) against wealthy C. Richard Courtney (Ross Alexander). They have a deadline, as a new state law will take effect in a few weeks banning such suits. Unbeknownst to Ginger, she already knows the defendant; she and Courtney, masquerading as a chauffeur named Carter, have fallen in love. Courtney himself does not know that Ginger is a process server.

Gaylord Esterbrook (Stewart), a reporter from Redfield, Minnesota (pop. 786, including livestock), writes a play about Park Avenue high society, even though he has never been to New York. Though a lowly Chicago street cleaner, Swedish immigrant Paul Kroll (Warren William) is ambitious and unscrupulous.
