Synopsis
Par amour pour sa mère adoptive, Carl Brenner se laisse accuser et emprisonner à cause d'une opération illégale pratiquée par le docteur Stefan Brenner, le fils légitime de Madame Brenner. Quelques années plus tard, Stefan meurt des suites de l'alcoolisme et Carl se fait une réputation sous son nom.Actors

Set on the campus of a small New England college, the film focuses on the volatile relationship of associate history professor George and his hard-drinking wife Martha, the daughter of the college president.
