The film was directed by Denver husband and wife Daniel Beahm and Erika Randall Beahm (Teahm Beahm), and stars Benji Schwimmer (winner, So You Think You Can Dance (Season 2).), Melanie LaPatin (choreographer, So You Think You Can Dance), Laurel Vail, Shannon Lea Smith, and Nicole Dionne. The film also features dance scenes with finalists from So You Think You Can Dance (Season 3) and So You Think You Can Dance (Season 4): Katee Shean, Kherington Payne, Courtney Galiano, and Sara Von Gillern.
Leading Ladies premiered in April 2010 at the Sonoma International Film Festival, where it won the Showcase Award. Since then, the film has screened at more than 65 festivals world-wide including the 22nd Palm Springs International Film Festival (Gala Screening), the 33rd Starz Denver Film Festival, and the 35th Frameline Film Festival. After screening at Newfest in NYC, Leading Ladies received a favorable review in Variety (magazine). The film was picked up for North American distribution by Wolfe Video after screening at Outfest in LA.

On Christmas Eve, 1989, aspiring filmmaker Mark Cohen, and his roommate, Roger Davis, learn that the rent previously waived by their former friend and landlord, Benjamin “Benny” Coffin III, is due. At the same time, their former roommate Tom Collins shows up and gets mugged in an alleyway. Meanwhile, Mark and Roger meet with Benny, who tells them he plans to evict the homeless from the nearby lot and build a cyber studio in its place. He offers them free rent if they can get Maureen, Mark's ex-girlfriend, to cancel her protest against his plans, but they refuse.

La chaîne de restauration rapide American Chicken Bunker a construit un de ses restaurants sur le site d'un vieux cimetière indien. Ainsi les contestataires alter-mondialistes du CLAM (College Lesbian Against Mega-conglomerates) manifestent. Arbie arrive sur les lieux de la manifestation et découvre que Wendy, son ex, est devenue lesbienne. Le jeune homme décide alors de se faire embaucher dans le restaurant pour s'opposer à cette dernière. Il va rencontrer des gens aux personnalités particulières : Carl Jr. un grand garçon un peu bête, Paco Bell le jeune mexicain homosexuel, Humus la musulmane et le général Lee Roy, gérant de la chaîne de restauration rapide. Malheureusement la malédiction de l'ancienne tribu indienne va s'abattre sur le restaurant et ainsi transformer la viande qui fera muter les gens en poulets-zombies. Les personnes coincées à l'intérieur de ces lieux maudits vont découvrir qu'ils vont être contraints de s'unir pour survivre.

At a national a cappella competition, Barden University's all-female acappella group, the Barden Bellas, perform well until Aubrey Posen (Anna Camp) vomits on stage during her solo.
