Synopsis
In the summer of 1959 two French schoolboys who have failed their English exams are sent on holidays to the South of England. While they are supposed to mainly concentrate on improving their English they also get to know the local population. However it is easier to flirt with the other French schoolgirls.Actors

Assistant du commissaire San Antonio, l'inspecteur Bérurier hérite d'une maison close. Par contre de terribles événements viennent troubler la joie du nouveau propriétaire; le locataire est victime d'un meurtre et lorsque la charmante tenancière subit le même sort, l'inspecteur n'a d'autre choix que d'intervenir. Pendant ce temps, San Antonio enquête sur la curieuse disparition de vaccin, volé par de petites frappes. Madame Albertine, la tenancière, meurt après avoir mis Bérurier et San Antonio sur la piste des responsables, un laboratoire pharmaceutique au centre d'un trafic de drogue. Une course-poursuite effrénée s'engage alors.

Bernard est en instance de divorce. Sur les bancs du tribunal où il attend pour la prononciation de la séparation, il croise un vieil ami d'enfance, Nicolas, qui tient un club de rencontres et distribue des tracts publicitaires de son club aux futurs divorcés. Il accompagne son ami retrouvé à son club, et s'occupera de lui pour qu'il retrouve l'âme sœur. Parallèlement, Nicolas est marié mais en grand séducteur il n'est pas du tout fidèle, et a du mal à conjuguer son activité et sa vie de famille. La goutte d'eau qui fera déborder le vase sera l'arrivée de Christiane, sublime petite provinciale romantique et amoureuse de Nicolas, qui compte sur lui pour l'héberger pendant qu'elle passe une audition pour un concours de chanson française. Il ne trouvera d'autre solution que d'héberger cette encombrante conquête dans la soupente de Bernard, un peu contre le gré de ce dernier. Pour le convaincre, il lui offrira tous les services de son club gratuitement, rendez-vous arrangés, soirées organisées, activités collectives, etc.

Trois élèves du Conservatoire décident de monter une comédie musicale "futuriste" supposée leur ouvrir la voie royale de Broadway. Raoul (Gérard Depardieu) and his wife Solange (Carole Laure) are eating in a restaurant when Raoul expresses concern with Solange's apparent depression, as she eats little, suffers migraines and insomnia and also sometimes faints. He finds another man in the room, Stéphane (Patrick Dewaere), to be her lover and hopefully enliven her again. Stéphane is puzzled by Raoul's plan but gives in to his desperate appeals for help. The film opens up by introducing Alfie (Jude Law), a charismatic, charming, bed-hopping, Vespa-riding Cockney who resides in Manhattan. An impeccably stylish lad in his late twenties, Alfie funds his hedonistic lifestyle by working as a driver for the local limousine service. Meeting, romancing, and seducing women comes as second nature to Alfie. In addition to maintaining a casual relationship with a single mother named Julie (Marisa Tomei) that he refers to as his "semi-regular-quasi-sort-of-girlfriend thing", he also sleeps with various girls on the side, such as the married-yet-neglected-by-her-husband blonde named Dorie (Jane Krakowski) whom he regularly meets for sex after work in the back of his limo. At the first inkling Dorie may desire their liaison to grow into something more, he decides to stop all contact. Alfie ultimately views women as expendable, cutting them loose as soon as he feels they're starting to cramp his style.

Handsome Cockney chauffeur Alfie Elkins (Michael Caine) enjoys the favors of women, while avoiding any commitment. He ends an affair with a married woman, Siddie (Millicent Martin), just as he gets his submissive single girlfriend, Gilda (Julia Foster), pregnant. Although Alfie refuses to marry Gilda and cheats on her constantly, Gilda decides to have the child, a boy named Malcolm, and keep him rather than give him up for adoption. Over time, Alfie becomes attached to his son, but his unwillingness to commit to Gilda causes her to break up with him and instead marry Humphrey (Graham Stark), a kindly bus conductor who loves her and is willing to accept Malcolm as his own son. She also bars Alfie from any further contact with Malcolm, forcing Alfie to watch from a distance as Humphrey steps into his fatherly role. When a health check reveals Alfie has tubercular shadows on his lungs, the diagnosis, combined with his separation from his son, leads him to have a brief mental breakdown.
