A group of teenage girls from the Atlanta area go to summer camp, and two of them make a bet as to which one will lose her virginity first. The two girls then choose "targets", or guys they want to be the ones they lose their virginity with. Unbeknownst to the adults, all the girls in camp bet money on the contest and divide into two "teams," each rooting for and egging on either Ferris (Tatum O'Neal) or Angel (Kristy McNichol). At the same time, the girls engage in typical teenage behavior, such as food fights and other activities.![Mischief](/imagesen/small/105553.jpg)

In Nelsonville, Ohio in 1956, the relationship between the introverted, clumsy Jonathan Bellah (McKeon) and the nonconformist, extroverted Eugene "Gene" Harbrough (Nash) begins to develop. Jonathan's main objective is to win over the sexy Marilyn McCauley (Preston), in spite of his shyness, while Gene has his own love-life to maintain with his girlfriend Bunny Miller (Stewart)—as well as counseling Jonathan on how to attract women. Gene also has to defend himself from the class bully, Kenny (D.W. Brown), while trying to work out a borderline relationship with his widowed father, who has zero tolerance for his often wild escapades.![The Flamingo Kid](/imagesen/small/104831.jpg)

Bukowski's picaresque novel, also titled Factotum, was published in 1975. The book and the film both center on the character of Henry Chinaski, Bukowski’s alter ego, who appears in much of his fiction. Although events in the book take place in Los Angeles in the 1940s, the setting of the film is contemporary.![Dallas: The Early Years](/imagesen/small/150561.jpg)

Written by series creator David Jacobs, the movie chronicles the exploits of John Ross "Jock" Ewing (Dale Midkiff), Eleanor "Miss Ellie" Southworth Ewing (Molly Hagan), and Willard "Digger" Barnes (David Marshall Grant) from 1933 to the early 1950s, and firmly established the background story of TV's Dallas with the long and ongoing feud between Jock and Digger. Larry Hagman appears in the opening sequence as his character J.R. Ewing, being interviewed by a reporter who is researching the Barnes – Ewing feud.![Singles](/imagesen/small/8743.jpg)

Singles centers on the lives of a group of young people, mostly in their 20s, living in an apartment block in Seattle, Washington, and is divided into chapters. It focuses on the course of two couples' rocky romances, as well as the love lives of their friends and associates. The film stars Bridget Fonda as Janet, a coffee-bar waitress fawning over Cliff, an aspiring, yet slightly aloof rock musician (Matt Dillon) of the fictional grunge/rock band Citizen Dick, Kyra Sedgwick and Campbell Scott as Linda Powell and Steve Dunne, respectively - a couple wavering on whether to commit to each other, and Sheila Kelley as Debbie Hunt, who is trying to find Mr. Right - a man who would make an ideal romantic partner - by making a video to express her desire. The events of the film are set against the backdrop of the early 1990s grunge movement in Seattle.

Railroad supervisor Carl Buckley (Broderick Crawford) gets fired from his job. He persuades his seductive wife to pay a visit to an important railroad customer in order to try to get his job back. When Buckley suspects that his sexy, younger wife Vicki (Gloria Grahame) has done more than just talk with the rich old magnate John Owens (Grandon Rhodes), he smacks her around. He then jealously stalks his rival, finally stabbing him to death in a train compartment. Locomotive engineer and Korean War vet, Jeff Warren (Glenn Ford) observed Vicki in the vicinity of the murder, but shields her at the inquest, as she sets his pulse racing. The two begin an affair which is hard to keep quiet in such a small town. Vicki then starts scheming for Warren to kill her increasingly drunk and violent husband.
