Living Is Easy with Eyes Closed (Spanish: Vivir es fácil con los ojos cerrados) is a 2013 Spanish comedy-drama film written and directed by David Trueba, and starring Javier Cámara. The film's title comes from a line in the song "Strawberry Fields Forever", from The Beatles.
The film won six Goya Awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Original Writing and Best Leading Actor. It was selected as the Spanish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 87th Academy Awards, but was not nominated.
Synopsis
It is 1966 in Albacete, an English teacher and die-hard Beatles fan Antonio (played by Javier Cámara) decides to go on a road trip to Almería in the hope of meeting John Lennon, who is shooting How I Won the War there under the direction of Richard Lester. On the way he picks up two hitch-hikers, Juanjo (Francesc Colomer) and Belén (Natalia de Molina), and the unlikely trio follow their dreams and look for their own freedom.Actors

A novelist (Gil) who has abandoned her writing career tracks down the details of a true story from the last days of the Spanish Civil War. The writer and Falangist Rafael Sánchez Mazas (Fontserè) faced a firing squad along with fifty other prisoners, but managed to escape into the woods. A Republican soldier, apparently one of those searching the area for the escaped prisoner, found him but allowed him to escape. The novelist pieces together the fragments of the story, plagued by contradictions and mysterious characters, and comes to realize that her search for the truth is a personal quest of self-discovery.

When race car driver Brewster Baker (Kenny Rogers) is stopped at a gas station, parts are stolen from his race car. Then while in a diner in a small Texas town, he sees some people stealing parts from another car, and chases the thieves. When the thieves' van goes into a river, Brewster rescues them and discovers that they are orphaned children. The kids were stealing auto parts for "Big John" the corrupt county sheriff, who jails Brewster for breaking and entering, larceny, resisting arrest and speeding. After the kids help break Brewster out of jail, Brewster reluctantly takes the children with him. Eventually, they form a friendship and bond. The end of the movie features real race footage from the 1982 NASCAR Coca-Cola 500, held at Atlanta Motor Speedway and won that year by Darrell Waltrip.

In early September, 1962, recent high school graduates and longtime friends, Curt Henderson and Steve Bolander, meet John Milner and Terry "The Toad" Fields at the local Mel's Drive-In parking lot. Despite receiving a $2,000 scholarship from the local Moose lodge, Curt is undecided if he wants to leave the next morning with Steve to go to the northeastern United States to begin college.
