Synopsis
Un jeune archéologue américain, le docteur Peter L. Masters, séjournant à Manaos, au Brésil, reçoit les confidences d'un excentrique : Crespi. Ce dernier lui apprend l'existence d'une troupe de femmes blondes et cruelles sur les bords de l'Amazone. Pour lui prouver le bien-fondé de ses affirmations, il lui dévoile une statuette d'or massif. Intrigué par cette découverte, Masters voyage dans cette communauté féminine. Mais, à sa plus grande surprise, les guerrières Amazones dévoilent leur cruauté envers les hommes qu'elles veulent dresser comme des esclaves sexuels. Aussitôt arrivé, Masters est rapidement prisonnier dans la jungle où il rencontre une captive, Gina. Le couple prépare leur évasion.Actors

Plantation owner Rock Dean travels up the Amazon River to investigate why the workers have left in panic. Dean's guide, Tumpanico warns him of Curucu (a birdlike monster who is said to live up the river where no white man has ever been). Accompanying him is Dr. Andrea Romar, in search of a drug which (in this story) the natives use to shrink heads. She hopes this drug will be effective in reducing cancerous tissue.

A pair of agents from the Office of Scientific Investigation (OSI) are sent to investigate a local appliance store, where all of the clocks have stopped at the same time, and metal items in the store have been magnetized. The source of this is traced to an office located directly above the store, where scientific equipment is found, along with a dead body. Deep in the South American jungles, plantation manager Barney Chavez (Burr) kills his elderly employer in order to get to his beautiful wife Dina Van Gelder (Payton). However, old native witch Al-Long (Gisela Werbisek) witnesses the crime and puts a curse on Barney, who soon after finds himself turning nightly into a rampaging gorilla. When a wise but superstitious police commissioner Taro (Chaney) is brought in to investigate the plantation owner's death and a rash of strange animal killings, he begins to suspect that all is not as it seems. Dina is also becoming suspicious of Barney, who seems to be more in love with the jungle than with her. She follows him one night into the jungle, only to be attacked by the feral Barney. The police chief follows her screams in the jungle and shoots Barney.
