It features Bob Steele as Bob Allen, a champion rodeo-playing cowboy, who is kidnapped by "Trigger" Carson, played by Charles King, and his gang of crooks. Mesquite Buckaroo was released in the United States on May 1, 1939.
Synopsis
Bob Allen est le champion du rodéo local. Son plus grand rival est Luke Williams du Cercle B. Jim Bond, du Cercle B, et sa fille Betty, soutiennent évidemment Luke Williams, tandis que Bob Allen est le poulain de sa tante Sarah, qui parie de grosses sommes sur lui. Trigger Carson, un tueur de Chicago tente de mettre Bob dans une arnaque. Il s'agit pour lui de perdre volontairement tandis que Carson et ses malfrats parieront le gros paquet sur Williams. Out on the trail cowboy Tom Crenshaw is forced to shoot and kill a bushwacker. He takes the dead man's money belt and a letter he finds on him into the nearest town. It turns out that the bushwacker was a killer hired by a local bandit leader, and the gang thinks that Tom is the man they hired. Tom decides to play along so he can expose the gang and bring them to justice, but it turns out that he gets into quite a bit more trouble than he bargained for.
