Dodo Doubleday has been explicably reduced from First Sergeant to Staff Sergeant and has resumed being orderly to his regimental commander Colonel Barkley. Terry Randall (Katharine Hepburn) moves into the Footlights Club, a theatrical rooming house in New York.
